Ugh. Of course I bought a much lesser supply just yesterday.

This is a very nice PSU, have one powering a dual operteron setup. Couldn't be more pleased with it.

One minor quibble -- this is NOT $30 shipped. It is $55 shipped, $30 AR.

Antec doesn't send e-mails confirming rebate applications. The rebate simply shows up one day. I have cashed 2 of their checks in the past year.

Usually takes mine 8-10 weeks, and they're old school with checks instead of Visa cash cards.

PRoducts with rebates are not "price as shipped". They are "AR". Please stop being lazy, and wasting people's time (like mine).

Although I do agree the content, I find the delivery a bit harsh. Zap is a regular Hot Deals finder/poster. I doubt he was being lazy - Maybe he didn't think of it, or forgot, or what not...

For the third time???

Edit: Sorry if I seem grumpy, but it seems to be a habitual thing, both here and at FW lately. Don't know why. Back in the olden days, this never seemed to happen. Maybe everyone is rushing to be the first to post a deal.

Nobody is saying he's lazy. It's disappointing to find out the real price shipped and no longer all that hot at all. What Zap should do is go back and edit the topic and the post.

In related news : Newegg has discounted the PSU from $60 to $45.

I also have one in my WTS thread for $35 shipped.

I agree, the tone might have been a little harsh. But I also agree that this is misleading. If the title had stated AR, I would never have read this thread.

Right, but then Anandtech doesn't get those click referral dollars.

I admit I got lazy for three posts around the same day or so. I am however NOT going to edit the posts (except for maybe "deal is dead") because I feel like throwing a temper tantrum.

Neener neener!

Besides, I have the COMPLETE breakdown of pricing within my OP.

I have the details down to the penny in the OP. If people can't be bothered to read that then they deserve to give AnandTech a click referral.

Heck, I even put expiration dates! IMO that is 100x more important than mentioning "AR" in the title.

No complaints on the content. But there are several people (myself included) who see AR and skip the thread. Now, that may seem short sighted, but I have had bad experiences with rebates (from 10 years ago). I know they have improved, but I still have it in the back of mind "No!!!!!"... So yeah. I know others have been jaded by the same thing. So I skipped on AR. Now, it didn't bother me when I clicked on the thread and found AR, I just "Oh... bummer, it is a good ideal, but I don't do rebates".

It's kind of a hot-deals killjoy, to see the thread title, and then mentally start drooling, and then click on it and see the dreaded AR, and go, aww shucks. (Well, worse than that.)

I don't even want to open threads that are AR 99% of the time.

I think I have this PSU in my main rig. Running fine with a Nexus fan swap, powering a Xeon something (equivalent to e8400) and 4870 1GB.

EDIT: also boo-urns on the rebate.

LMFAO!!

btw, I've had an ea 430 running a highly OC'd q6600 on DC 24/7 for the past 3+ years. Great psu for the money.

Same model, but it's a totally different PSU now (Delta) than what you got 3+ years ago (Seasonic).
