Antec Lanboy $50 @ Microcenter B&M / YMMV

My first post in the Hot Deals section... here goes:

I went today to the local Microcenter to pick up a tripod for my camcorder and found the Antec Lanboy for $50. Newegg has them for $79.99 with $10 shipping so I think this is a pretty good deal. In-store only. What do you guys think?

not bad but you have to remember that the Super LanBoy is now available, an even better looking case with 120mm fan brackets, iirc.

I'm not putting down this deal. I own a Lanboy myself. New items replace older items, hence the discount, simple as that.

sweet.... wish we had places like microcenter and fry's in east by Massachusetts. The lanboy is real nice, i have an antec sl300 power supply and its works like a charm. That super lanboy is looking like i may have to buy it!

In case you were un-aware, there IS a B&M Microcenter in Cambridge, MA, right near the Charles, I forget which side. I must concur with the "we need a Fry's on the East Coast" sentiment though. Some of those mobo+CPU combo deals listed on here are unreal.

and yeah I just found out about the Super Lanboy as well but it doesn't come with a PSU and it's $100. It does come with 2x120mm fans though. The regular Lanboy has a 350W PSU but no fans included. Both come with the carrying strap.

Pretty good price for this, the psu alone is worth around $40. I picked this case up a while back for around this price.

The Microcenter is on Memorial Drive between MIT & Harvard, in the same parking lot as Trader Joe's.
For really old farts, it is in the old Stop & Shop building.

It's not just you. Sucks, I just paid $86 from newegg for my LB about a month or so ago. The only thing I like about the "Super" Lanboy is the switch to 120mm fans. Other than that, it's FUGLY. I'll take my regular LB over it anyday.

I agree the super lanboy is ugly..I how the original looks a lot better. Hopefully the bigger fans should keep it a little cooler than the old one though.
