This is HOT IMO.

I have two of the SVC center led fans and I do not like them. However, I'm going for looks and cooling, not just cooling so YMMV. Asthetically they were not what I wanted. They put off almost no light and they blink (little known fact). SVC's first batch didn't blink and it was a goof. All of their other ones blink, yet people liked the not blinking... not sure if SVC ever went back to non-blinkers. Or so I was told by a sales rep when I complained about mine blinking. False advertising if you ask me... they should state that they blink IMO.

I'm ordering two antec's and tossing the SVC ones to a friend. If your going for looks and want to really light up a part of your case go for the antec. Heck... buy two and it's almost like having a blue/tri-color cathod

ps. I ordered one of each

I work with people in a signal shop and with a little creativity I've been making fans that kicks anything antec makes arse..
4 lights per fan RED YELLOW OR GREEN or mix. Drop into your local signal shop "stop lights for those who don't know" ask them for their broken signal HEADS the led's are in the 18,000mcd range and will light up a SVCOMPUCYCLE crystal fan"$3.25" like a Xmas tree
They have to be wired in series and avg 3.5 volts per led.. but are so bright with 4@12v that you can't look directly into one without spots in your eyes. I'll edit this and post pics when I get home.. very bright.. enough to light my case with.
The place I work for helped create and set the standard for LED signal lights. They are the best money can buy with a 10 year life expectancy.
of course.. for the non do it yourselfer's.. go to buy.com NOW! because thats a great price.

If you need any help doing the mod PM me.. i'll help where i can.

the amperage is around .01@12v for those concerned with power issues.

HERES SOME PICS WATCH OUT FOR POPUPS!!!! Sorry about the popups.. get a good popupkiller.
proxomitron is free and works mostly.

Thanks a ton for posting this! I was looking to get one for my case but hell if I was gonna pay for shipping on just a fan. I had been looking around on standard case-modding sites, it never occured to me to look into Buy.com! HA!

People, check out this site: www.heatsinkstore.com

They have the best prices I've seen on rounded cables, LED fans, and even AS3. Their customer support has been great in my experience, and I've ordered from them 3 times. Happy browsing.

lol, multiple posts about how colored fans are nerdy? Why so? More techy than nerdy if you ask me. Most people I meet who are hardcore modders aren't really nerdy at all. However, I don't mind being called a nerd. You know another term for nerd? Boss! tehe.

I second the comment on the pictures - major thanks for them. Wasn't sure if fans like this were something I wanted to get until I saw your pics - it looks really nice.

Question - anyone know of a place that sells these? Been looking all over the place for some soft plastic cable sleeves/tubing for my internal cables and have come up empty so far.

HAH>> dude.. the 830 is the same size as the 1030.. go get one. I have both cases I know this.

BTW anyone who thinks those fans at heatsinkstore/svcompucycle compare even remotely to the antec fans NEEDS TO STEP AWAY FROM THE PIPE
the only fans i have recently seen that are made similarly to the antecs are at www.case-mod.com
for 8.99? kinda high for not being antec's.. dunno quality.. they LOOK ok in pics..

I like these because I get to light up my case without having to bother with a cold cathode - no inverter that I have to be mindful of its EMI. Just good ol' DC here!

Are the lights on these (antec, SVC, whichever) directional? I mean whether I set the fan to blow in or out, it will light up the case either way? It looks like the SVCs have the center LED on one side of the fan so you're stuck pointing the light which ever way the "front" of the fan is facing.

I just barely installed the blue ones in my chieftec case today, they are lot brighter than ones from SVC. As some of the people said, its pretty bright. I might not even need a blue cold cathode. Its seems to light up the case either position, intake or exhaust. I also have generic 4 led verison that some people have mention also. It is bright but not as bright as the Antec Blue LED fan. I'm wish this deal came up sooner, so i didn't waste my money on the other fans.
