Antec NeoPower 480watt

What ever happend to the Antec 480watt Neo
Power supply. Did they discontinue them or
what cause I can't find them on any of the
main website stores.

Modulars have a tendency of dying over some time. Mine worked fine for about 5 months until (recently) it started producing a high pitched whine and stopped booting the comp. My comp barely put a 220W average load on the thing and I have 7 case funs; heat was definitely not the issue (not when my room is about 40-60F 99% of the time anyway).

It has nothing to do with modulars, they work JUST fine. Antec disconinued that particular model in favor of the HE line, that is also modular. Both of the PSU's I have had for the past year were modular and have worked out fine. See sig for details.

Do you live in a fridge? 40F is damn cold.

I am unsure of your point, but the temp INSIDE shouldn't mimic the temp OUTSIDE unless you have some seriously flawed insulation or heating. I think that was kinda the point of the post.

Computer fans have intake and "outtake" fans. If the air flowing in is hot, cooling is less efficient. That's kind of the point of my post.

Of course if your computer operates in a vacuum, then this doesnt apply to you.

Why would the temperature INSIDE your house be the same as OUTSIDE?

unless of course you dont believe in heating...
