Thanks OP. Good deal. Love these cases.

A simpler (better?) deal than the PM shown above would be to buy the case at CUSA and use the Antec/CUSA rebate ($25) that expires on 2/13 - hurry. It is available for download here in the topic summary (second post).

Works out to $65(AR) + tax/gas for me! That makes me .

The ad is in the CompUsa B&M paper as well. Go to CompUsa, grab the paper and head to BB.

Yeah, CUSA can say whatever they want on the website, but the rebate form is still valid and does not get submitted to them anyway. It may be worth the extra few $'s for some to go for the rebate.

Great deal on this case, even better if you can get in with the Rebate. I'll be running by CompUSA for a price match later today. Took a gamble 10 days ago since they seem to have an IR on these every 2 weeks or so.

Anything less than $100 on this is a great deal though. I absolutely love this case. Great cooling and very little noise. 5 x 120mm fans (you need to buy 2 after-market though) and a 200mm fan improved my case and component temps dramatically.

Temp readings taken from Speedfan and Nvidia Monitor:

Lian-Li PC60+: CPU 44C, MB/NB 59C, Ambient 24C, Raptor X 51C, 8800GTS 80C idle/85C load
Nine Hundred: CPU 35C, MB/NB 33C, Ambient 24C, Raptor X 29C, 8800GTS 52C idele/62C load

Some don't like how it looks but it was just enough bling for me. Looks like the new Batmobile or new Mustang compared to other cases which look like pimped out Civic.

Sounds like CompUSSR is a better deal w/o the PM hassle.
I'm heading out for one, NOW.
Thanks for the tip.

Just a heads-up for those going out to pick this case up. There does seem to be 2 revisions of this case out. The first revision had a problem with the first expansion bracket and certain mobos/PCI cards. If your mobo uses the first expansion bracket for your video card, you might have a problem trying to connect the DVI connector to your video card as there's very little clearance.

My mobo uses the 2nd expansion slot for video, so I didn't have this problem but I checked anyways and there's enough clearance for DVI/VGA plugs in the first slot, so I'm pretty sure I got the updated revision. There's slightly different box art from the ones I've seen. On the side of the box showing a profile of the case, one has all blue LED fans, while the other has blue LED fans in front with a white rear exhaust fan. Also, on the back of the box, on the SKU sticker it says "Antec NINE HUNDRED V1.1".

A quick update:

Picked one up at CompUSA and the $25 rebate printed out at the register so it is definitely good to go at $90-$25 MIR=$65+tax.

Super sweet. Thanks OP for getting this one rolling.

Now I have a '900', a 'Solo' and a 'P150' looking for Mobo's... not to mention 3 rebates to sweat.

ps - the one I got only says "NINE HUNDRED" in the sku area so I guess its the first version. Oh well, can a dremel fix it if I have a problem later?? If not, let me know and I'll take it back tomorrow and check for the newer version.

EDIT: Oops. I didn't notice the OP's edit. I guess my 'update' is old news

Just got my Nine Hundred price adjusted with no problems. And yes, as GZeus said, the rebate printed out again (the CSR did a return and repurchase). I'll probably use my old receipt though to avoid any problems. The MIR portion does end 2/13 though, so those of you who want to try and get it for $65+tax need to get it before Wednesday.

GZeus, a dremel does work, so if you're handy with one you can go that route. Keep in mind though, what you're cutting through is that sturdy steel stuff, not the thin aluminum slot covers or anything. You may also have to make cuts for each input. Antec apparently will ship you a replacement chassis (no sides, front vents accessories etc.) if you get a V1.0 and call them. Honestly, I'd just avoid all the hassle if you need that first expansion slot and exchange it before you open it. If they don't have any more, then I'd just deal with it if the problem arises.

Also, to add to the OP, they have the P180 and P180B for $99.99 no MIR. The $50 MIR on it from CUSA expired about 10 days ago. Not as hot as some of the $80 deals that went by, but you probably have a better shot at one that doesn't have the expansion slot problem. That MiniATX with 380W PSU is also $35 after MIR. You can find the $25 MIR at CompUSA's website and go to Rebate Center. Search for Antec and it'll pull up all the different MIRs going.

I was in one of the CompUSSR stores today to take a look at the 900 case but I changed my mind simply because though it's functional but it looks ugly, imo.
While was there I had a chance to look at another Antec (P180) case that was also on sale for $99. The P180 seems like a better case though $35 more expensive.
Is it worth $35 over the other one?
Definitely tempting to get the P180 case instead but need to do more research on it.

I bought the last one from BestBuy, with pricematch. I end up paying 92$ taxed. My Antec 900 does say version 1.1 The one I got from Compusa said nothing on the Barcode.

This is free delivery over $150 so you can add McAfee security 341158 for $64.99 with $65MIR. There is also a $30 McAfee upgrade MIR.

I bought this case on 1/24/07 for $104.99.
After work on Monday, I will be hitting up my local CompUSSR and getting and demanding a price match for sure.

$104.99-$89.99=$15
$15.00 X 0.0825 (tax) = $1.24
Total Due Back: $16.24
(then take $25 off, from the rebate).

Total Cost after rebate, $64.99 + $7.42 (tax)= $72.41!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback, 'chizow'. I don't plan on doing anything with this case for a few weeks so I think I will contact Antec since my CUSA seems to be sold out as of last night.

All in all, I would say this has been one sweet deal...if you can handle the looks of the case that is. Personally, I don't find it that 'funky' so I am very happy with this deal!

Just picked up what was apparently the last one at the Emeryville, Ca. store (they even had to drag out the old rolling ladder to get it off of the upper shelves).

Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Now to force myself to sit down and send in this damn rebate right now so I don't blow it off.

Vince

EDIT: Rebate sent, and I even "circled" the price on the receipt...

Picked up 2 yesterday and the rebate form did indeed print out. Awesome! I already have a 900 for my main rig and to me this is the nicest looking case by far. Love the front 2 blue fans for just the right amount of bling also. Some people complain that there is no power LED but, hello, the blue fans say it's running.

OMG, right after I read the first couple of posts and downloaded the rebate form, I sped on over to my Best Buy right away and picked up the case. They only had two, an open box and a new one hidden on the highest shelf. I found out though that they don't price match UNLESS there is a CompUSA nearby. Like locally. So I was out of luck. So I bought it anyways since the rebate doesn't work if you buy the case too late. I'll be back at home in San Jose where there is a competing CompUSA nearby so I can get a pricematch at the BestBuy(you have 30 days to do this). But in the meantime I'll be sending in the rebate and enjoying this awesome case! that 200mm is ****** huge!

I got the same Lian-Li case with Panaflo 80mm L fans all around. How do you think the noise level of 900 will compare to Lian-Li on Panaflo? The Lian-Li is almost as quiet as some Dells.

the P180 is a great case but a bitch and a half to work with. i'm not certain whether it's my components or the case that is quiet. (low RPM scythe fans and tower, accelero vga cooler) but i have to put my ear to it to determine whether it's on or not.
