Well, I just figured out that if I return it, I'll eat $38.50 in shipping and a 15% restocking fee.
I've been using the Enermax in my old Athlon XP system and have all the wiring enclosed in that black plastic corrogated shielding (hate seeing wires). Anyway I had the excess wires curled up behind the ps in my Antec SX800 case and in one of those wire casings, were the P4 four pin connector and the aux. power connector. Since I didn't use them, I forgot all about them. This Asus P4S8X board that I'm using now ( I have it sold and will be shipping out Monday) allows you to use either the four pin P4 power connector, or a regular four pin molex connector to supply power to the cpu. The Gigabyte I have coming has only the square four pin connector.
So...if I send it back, it cost $38.50. If I keep it and sell the Enermax for $50.00, it cost me $47.00 for a year newer ps.
'course, on the otherhand, I could keep 'em both in case one fails. I had that happened once and paid $90.00 for an Antec 303 from a local computer store (the only one in town )
