Antec or Enermax power supplies?

It's a long story (due to my bad), but I have a choice of keeping my one year old Enermax EG465P-VE(FC) and sending back my unopened Antec True Power 430w ps to Newegg or keeping the Antec and selling the Enermax for $50.00. This is for my new P4 2.53 b Northy/Gigabyte 8GS667/512mg Corsair XMS3200 system. Any advice?

Thanks

These 2 power supplies are both quality products and for all intents and purposes should do the job perfectly. So, whichever minimizes your losses would be the best choice, I'm guessing you'd get a full refund of more than $50 if you return your Antec PSU to newegg?

Not much of a reason to pay out the extra for the Antec when you already have a high quality enermax, Id return the Antec.

Well, I just figured out that if I return it, I'll eat $38.50 in shipping and a 15% restocking fee.

I've been using the Enermax in my old Athlon XP system and have all the wiring enclosed in that black plastic corrogated shielding (hate seeing wires). Anyway I had the excess wires curled up behind the ps in my Antec SX800 case and in one of those wire casings, were the P4 four pin connector and the aux. power connector. Since I didn't use them, I forgot all about them. This Asus P4S8X board that I'm using now ( I have it sold and will be shipping out Monday) allows you to use either the four pin P4 power connector, or a regular four pin molex connector to supply power to the cpu. The Gigabyte I have coming has only the square four pin connector.

So...if I send it back, it cost $38.50. If I keep it and sell the Enermax for $50.00, it cost me $47.00 for a year newer ps.

'course, on the otherhand, I could keep 'em both in case one fails. I had that happened once and paid $90.00 for an Antec 303 from a local computer store (the only one in town )

LOL...I live in Florida but that figure includes $19.00 Fedex 2 day shipping, $11.50 restocking fee, and $8.00 to ship back to Newegg.

Why FEDEX? Just use USPS priority and save a bundle. That said, I'll just keep the Antec and sell the Enermax. Instead of using the shipping cost (plus restocking fee) to ship back to Newegg, just use it to ship the Enermax to a buyer.

Why FEDEX?

I had Newegg send it FedEx 2 day service so I'd have it arrive at the same time my new motherboard gets here. I definitely wouldn't send it back that way.

why send it back the same method it got to you?? Wouldn't USPS priority work fine? Shouldn't be more than $8 - 10 that way...

So FEDEX sends it to you 2nd day and you just have to send it back the same way??LOL, it doesn't matter how you send it back as long as you do send it back. You can even send via donkey mail (although they won't give you a refund for a long time that way). USPS priority takes 3-4 days. Thats how I usually send my returns to Newegg.

Obviously I'm not making myself clear. Of course I wouldn't sent it back Fedex. I'm going to RMA it for a refund and send it back USPS.

Thanks everyone.
