Although I am new here, I have been reading the posts for about 6 months and all the reviews on all components. Finally time to stop reading and start building. So my video card is on the way and figured I will start with a case. People on this board are great, I will sure need their help, and hopefully I can return the gained knowledge from this build back.

Selected the Antec P160. Was looking for a case with good air flow, good reviews, not too flashy, and no window. Did not like the style of Lian-Li cases, the PC60B+ was my original choice but decided it was over-complicated for my needs especially with that special CPU duct. Went looking for prices and Amazon has the best price(free shipping knocks off every competitor) of 119. I guess the big discounters like newegg can't compete on heavy items.

Want to add a front 120mm case fan. Previous posts from owners of this case mentioned that only a 25mm fan would fit in the front, that rules out Panaflo. Not sure if the rear can take any bigger either. The supplied rear fan is rpm:1600 CFM:56 dbA:28. So if the front case has a filter therefore airflow restricting, shouldn't I get a front fan that exceeds the rear CFM in order to not build up too much negative case pressure? Was planning on replacing the rear at the same time while I'm at it.

Any suggestions? Was looking at the Nexus and Yate Loon. Not sure how I am going to hook these fans up. If I buy a hardware fan speed controller then can't I buy high speed fans and slow them down until my temps and noise are good or would a software controller be better? I am not concerned with the costs as long as it is for a good reason and not too excessive.

Thanks for your help.

That was the thickness, 120x120x25mm fans. I see the Panaflo fans are 120x120x38mm. This case only comes with 1 rear fan.

Tried following some links for Nexus or Yate Loon but the part descriptions never mention the manufacturer. I will keep searching the internet.

You can put the included fan in the front if you want. I put mine there for now, it's actually pretty quiet. Then you can put a 120mm Panaflo in the rear. I have one there running at 7 volts to help equalize pressure and reduce noise. At 7 volts they're damn near dead silent.

I have the Antec P160 with window. It came with front and rear fans and they both work well when connected to the fan-only plug of my Antec PSU which runs them more slowly and quietly. I found when connecting to a regular molex at higher speed the noise of the air wooshing thru the front of the case was annoying. I took off the black metal front filter guard, etc., and left only the filter in the front to help tone down the noise. The filter is very sturdy without the guard. I have run with and without the front fan running and the thermal probes measured only a 2-3 degree difference. Antec suggests not using the front fan if noise is an issue. However, as mentioned above, when using the fan-only plug the computer runs quiet and cool.

I bought an Antec P160 with window and it came with front and rear fans. Was around $115 with $15 shipping so $130 total. Not too bad of a price considering people sell the non window version with only one fan for that price. I can hear the fans running but my mobo chipset fan screeches louder than them so...

160 takes a 120mm fan in front, and another in back.

With a little trimming, you can put two 120mm fans and a dual radiator in front, muahahha.
