Antec P160: how many fans, any problems, and where to get?

Hi, I'm researching a new system project and am considering the Antec P160 (acutally it's the P-160WF which is the windowed version). Has anyone here had experience with this case and if so are there any problems with it? Also, beside newegg where have you seen the windowed version of this for sale?.

I found that Buy.com sells the P160 without the window and also sells the separate window kit. This works out to be a little cheaper than getting the windowed case on newegg. My question is, does the P160 that does not have a window come with 2 fans or 1. And if it is 2 is one of them have blue leds?

Thanks.

P160 comes with 1 fans. Not LED, AFAIK.

Sorry had the wrong info (was thinking Super LANBOY, well sort of).

I just heard back from antec by email and they say it only comes with one fan. They said that they ship the p160 to newegg and then newegg adds the clear side panel and extra fans if any. The best price seems to be newegg. Also, buy.com sells the case for about $100 w/o the clear side and the clear side is about $21. They have free shipping too. Newegg is out of stock right now on the one with the clear side panel. It seems that they ship theirs with a blue led fan at leasts that is what some of the customer reviews say.

AntecCSR: Can you comment again on this. Do you know about newegg's version that includes the windowed side panel? Thanks.

I got one of the P160s from Newegg w/ window. As far as I can tell it came that way from Antec.... The box is brown, plain cardboard and says P160W instead of the fancy box from antec for the regular one. It came with 2 fans both clear blue LED. The case is great and has tons of room and has dropped my temps a lot... The only thing i would rec is that you clean out the dust filters at least once a month... or i could have a dusty house....!

I don't think you need a filter for the exhaust fan - after all, any dust it gets out you want OUT, not inside the case

davidos says his came with 2 fans, but it still only has one place to mount a fan (rear), correct?
And where is the LED temp display?

What's with all these cases with no front fan? There's so many cases I've looked to buy but they either had no front fan, or a very small opening for it (like a 1" tall section of holes).

I bought my P160W (the one with clear side panel and an extra fan) form New Egg for $115 & free shipping 2 weeks ago. It's an awesome case. It is very roomy and keeps my cpu cooler than my previous case. There are 2 fans in this case, one in the front and the other at the back (both are 12 cm). There's a air filter that it placed in the front intake, but it doesn't block out all the dusts because there are some small air intakes around the front of the case and the bottom as well. There are 3 blue LEDs located that the top of three air intakes. And the fan at the back has blue LED as well. The LED temp display is right at the top of the case between reset button and microphone plug. P160W has 2 temp sensors and the display will change the temp between both sensors every 3 seconds. As for the interior, it has the same structure design as Sonata. You have to insert your HDs sideways and the there are rubber on the holder of HD to reduce vibrations. The case is super lite, only 13 lbs w/out PS. I strongly recommend this case.

I picked up this case for a recent water-cooled mobile barton build and it's been great. I don't think I've ever seen a better quality case before. From construction to layout, everything seemed top notch.

My only problem is the temperature display seems broke on my case. It always reads 188 (all LED segments lit) no matter what I do with the probes. A little annoying, but I didn't really need the temperature display anyhow.

In the pics I could find, I didn't see any fan in the front, or even how there's room for it. Nor do I think I saw any front intakes. Can you take a couple pics of your case with the window? And showing the front fan mount? What were you trying to say here?: There are 3 blue LEDs located that the top of three air intakes.
Sounds like a case with no negatives. Seems like every alum. case I've looked at has had at least one bad thing about it.

Looking at this image, if you look immediately to the right of the 3.5 inch drivebays, you see a panel held in by 1 thumb screw. That panel is the front 120mm fan mount.

I just ordered one of these today for a watercooling project.

Excellent case. Got the 160WF from newegg a few months back. Mine came with 1 LED 120mm fan and 1 non-led 120mm fan. I bought a second LED fan for the front intake to make the blue more vibrant.

Picsfrom newegg (sorry, i dont have a digital camera to take pics of my system)

if you rotate the temp display cylinder and move it back, it should reset the display and show the correct temp. but mine now goes blank too, but the same trick works. Only negative is that I have to do it about once a day.

Have you tried contacting Antec about the display problem?

Also, I can't tell by the pictures, what are the three things on the front? Looks like chrome around some large intakes?

that is what they are. At the top of each inlet, there is a blue LED that shines down. Behind the intake is a screen filter.

Ive never contacted Antec about the display because its not too big a deal to me...i have MBM which gives me almost the same exact readings for the case.
