I currently have some Thermaltake PSU in my P180 and it is loud as hell...
Will upgrading to the Antec Phantom be worth it?

Which version of the Phantom? The 350W version is fanless. The 500W version has a fan on it but its nearly silent as well. What kind of PSU do you have thats so loud? Are you sure its the PSU?

Well why would you go fanless? The Seasonic series are nearly inaudible 99% of the time. Only go fanless if it is a HTPC or something to that extent.
At any rate, going from that PSU to a fanless or a Seasonic PSU will make a HUGE difference. TT's PSU's are half-way decent but much lower grade that Fortron, Seasonic (etc...).

I don't have experience with the Phantom, but I do use a fanless PSU (Silverstone) in my P180. I removed the stock fan in the PSU tunnel and replaced it with a Nexus Real Silent 120mm fan. I run the fan undervolted to about 700 rpm. In every day use, it's a silent arrangement; I have to put my ear up very close to the case to hear it.
I use a 350w Phantom and it was easy as pie to install, even with the large fan. You take the fan out while you put the PSU in, then put it back in afterwards.Do NOT buy the Phantom. Due to the extra fan, you won't be able to put it inside the case. Mushpuppy, I have no idea how the ****** you managed to get yours inside without removing the extra-large fan and switching it with a thinner one.
