SilenX retails for $115 on their site. I don't know what the street price is. Seasonic is $75 after rebate on Newegg.
Silent is 0db., but not for $75 or $115

Oh, you mean the passive models they have. Those look nice, but they cost > $200.

SORRY GUYS! I couldn't find it on their website either, but I remember the floor model was very old, and there were none in a box out onthe floor. The CSR had to go to the back to get me one. I hope this helps with saving a little more dough to spend on another deal.

Yeah, I noticed that. I tried to order two. But come on, its $30. That is CHEAP. And its not a refurbished case nor a crappy online store. I could see Fedex charging me $16 to ship something of that size and weight.

If you wanted to add a quiet power supply for $25, you should have ordered the SLK2650. It comes with a SL350S (S=silent) with a 21A 12V rail.

Ehhhh not too impressed with this, it seems as though the case is overated, but not a bad price for an O.K. case.

That's fast.

You think that's fast? I ordered yesterday (Thursday) at about 2:30pm. It was on my door step when I left for work today (Friday) at 9am. Needless to say, I was a bit blown away!

I think they rate a little higher than "O.K.".
I've had several Antec cases...the 1040B, the SLK3700AMB and at present, a "slightly modified" Compucase LX 6A19 from Jim at Coolcases.com. It's basically the same case as the 3700 but without the door covering the drive bays.
I've had Enermax's, Fong Kai's & Lian Li's...for the money, I prefer the Antec's.

I bit, now i just have to find a quite PS under $25

Hmm, that will be somewhat of a challenge. How many watts/amps do you need?

I'm a Seasonic convert. They are very quiet. They start at about $45 for the 300 watt Silencer.

You can find other brands for less that that. However, I would caution you that you don't want to skimp on the PS. If it is underpowered or can't maintain proper voltages, your machine is going to have fits.

There are the Fortron/Sparkle units starting at around $30-35 shipped for the 300W models, with 120mm fans on them..Perhaps about another $5-10 for the 350W.

These are known to be fairly underrated when it comes to how they handle under load...The 350W tends to do as well, or better than, many 'generic' 450-500 watt models.

If one's going 64-bit socket 939, and PCI-X though, those probably won't supply enough juice--The 550Watt model is probably recommended there, and is decently priced for what you get.

I was planning to buit my intel retail edge rig (p4/550 3.4 w intel 915pbl and xfx 6600gt pcie). I picked up a A-power 500 dual fan PS from geeks.com. It will power the system but i do not think it will be silent or relieble.

That's a different case.

Yes, the SLK3000-B is identical inside to the SLK3700-AMB and the Compucase 6A19 as was said above. IMO, this is one of the best basic mid-tower case designs ever. About the only way it could really be improved is to add about 1.5-2" to the depth. Then the HD rack could be pushed back half an inch to make room for 120x38mm fans (e.g. Panaflows) and have another inch or so for unusually long cards to clear.
. And the Provantage deal is one of the best prices on it. Since they ship from multiple warehouses (actully drop ship from major distributors' warehouses), ground shipping will usually take only a day or two. For Amazon to beat the total package they would have to use a similar shipping scheme and I'm not sure that they do. Limiting the window of exposure of my stuff to ground level handling is worth it. I think Amazon also has to charge SalesTax in more areas than Provantage does - possibly wiping out the slight initial price advantage.

Yeah, I love Amazon, but they've been charging me tax lately. Sucks.

I have the 3000b all set up. Wow, it was a joy to work with. Of course I'm coming from a 7 year old AT full tower steel monster.

It is very quiet. The hard drives can be heard, but it is a lower frequency than in the old steel (no rubber gasket) case. It is almost a deadened sound like it is coming from behind a door.

Now I just have to zip tie the Zalman 7700-Cu cooler to the case in case the screws fail (freakin' thing weighs two pounds).

I'll be ordering another 3000b soon for the wife's computer.

Antec started selling the new 3000-B side panels with the duct and vent, so if you've got a BQE laying around and just want a duct, check out their site. Only other difference is the TriCool fan (meh) and the removable HD cage. (I personally prefer the BQE/Sonata style more, just wish it didn't block all the intake airflow...)

Got mine today, Provantage gave me a tracking email and everything, I'd definately shop there again.

Great case, I moved 'down' from my Antec Plus660AMG, which is a great case as well but the spacing and my components made a very tight fit, and cooling was poor even with 4 80mm fans. With just the single 120mm in back my cpu idle temps have dropped 5c. Very happy.

Thanks OP. Even with $19.50 Shipping to California, this is still a deal. My rig needs to be quiet, cool and moddable - this case fits the bill. Thanks.

Got two of these for my friends $33 shipping to Chicago. Their shipping was fast too received the cased in 2 two days. The only complain I have is the case is bit heavy.

By bezel, I assume you mean the front? I'm pretty sure you have to take it off for the drive rails. It comes off in 5 seconds though.
