Its not all that great. You have horrible service to your right, n00bs that dont know how to use what they purchased and demand technical support to your left, and people that know exactly what they are looking for who go in and out of this place happy and into their car driving off and than getting stuck on the 60 freeway because the one in Burbank is worse since its on the golden state 5 freeewayyyyyyyy aaaaahhhhhhhhh. Its ok.

Thanks for the tip! I was going to buy a LanBoy case for $88 an a PSU for $70. Instead of $158, the total with this setup is $100 less. They only had a few left at the Pico Rivera store... get 'em while they're hot!

I'm planning to pick one of these up today in So. Calif - Manhattan Beach hopefully.

Went there on Tuesday to pick up a $99 Segate 160GB hard drive, with $50 rebate, only to find the shelf bare. While I was looking around their must have been 3 or 4 other people looking for the same drive. Feeling a bit miffed over the wasted drive, I poked around and found a huge stack of the drives on top of a shelf two rows over.

Moral of the story is to poke around of you don't see sale items on the shelfs, there very well may be a stash learking about.

Fry's isn't that great. Last time I was there I was trying to think of a way to describe it, and I figured out it's like Wal-Mart except all electronics. It's always dirty, unorganized, a lot of really stupid people there, horrible service, 18 year old kids dressed in their daddy's suits or Old Navy Dress up crap.

As for the actual sales, if the item isn't in the newspaper advertisement it's going to be just, or even more expensive then Best Buy. There's no point going there to browse, because the only decent values you'll ever find are the ones in their advertisements.

Fry's is definitely hit and miss on deals. Some weeks are surely better than others. Once in awhile there is a killer deal. On a day to day basis, prices are pretty average. I think what makes Fry's so good is the variety of items in their inventory, and that they carry hard to find electronic and computer related items. Best thing is you don't have to run all over town to find things, everything can usually be found in the store. I usually do all my purchasing online but it is nice to know there is a Fry's around just for the selection if anything.....

Who cares about the service and cosmetics - I'm saving hundreds of $$$ literally by building my PC based on a lot of their specials. Every aisle has multiple deals going on so its incorrect to suggest only the advertised specials are low.

Picked one up at Manhattan Beach, CA. Had to ask a sales guy to dig it out since they don't keep them on the floor.

One nice thing is it came with the upgraded 380 TruePower PS; has 24A on the 12V line compared to 18A on the old version.

The case seems fairly well built but not as nice as the Performance I/II series which is made of thicker metal. And the gloss paint is a little tacky, I would have prefered semi-gloss.

At any rate, seems like a good deal for the money.

It's in both the Murky News and Sac Bee (Fridays ad)

This would be a decent 'cheap' case for the upcoming onslaught of the Intel P4 3.4GHz retailedge deal coming out this week. (Is 380 Antec rated Watts satisfactory for the above mentioned system?)

Wish there was a Fry's in NJ. I am checking outpost.com and see it listed for 89.99.
http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3558634

Is the rebate specific to the Fry's store or is that from Antec? If so, can someone post the link? TIA.

What the heck is a serial ata connector?

My serial Raptor uses a regular power connector like everything else.
