I purchased a Antec Sonata LS138 a couple of years ago. It has a 380 watt power supply. Will this be enough power for this rig below?

Also, would there be other issues (cabling, wiring) in reference to this case, paired with these components?

Appreciate the insight.

yeah with onboard gfx i would think that would be more than enough. might need a 20pin to 24pin adapter if the new motherboard is 24pin.

Thanks.......I was curios as I've read others with close or similar rigs were using a 450 watt power supply. I don't do a lot of gaming, but at times have multiple programs running. Obviously, when I purchased the above Sonata [then] things were much different--again, curios with what changes have occured--power requirements/consumption.

How does one know or tell when there isn't enough power supplied?

The first NeoHE (that comes with the Sonata IIRC) wasn't that great and people had a lot of problems. But if it yours doesn't have any problems (handling simple loads) then you should be fine.

Sonata never shipped with NeoHE. You're thinking of the P150, which mostly had issues with Asus boards (two families) for sure. AFAIK we've never been able to confirm continued issues with any other manufacturers. That problem has long since been fixed.

Thanks...... Given the concensus, I guess I'll give it a shot.

Would a underpowerd or low wattage power supply cause any component damage? This is what really concerns me, being this is my first attempt at building a computer.

Underpowered PSUs may cause your system to be unstable. If you let it go too long, there will eventually be component damage.

Ah that was it. OP, that case comes with the Antec Smartpower PSU, which is fine for your needs.
