From what I have read, they are not having "huge issues with the NeoHE line of PSUs.", the problem seems to only involve ASUS motherboards. Apparently, the mb is not reading one of the voltages correctly and causing shut downs.

Get the pc p&c 510 sli and never worry about power again(well, until they change the connector types and you end up with an incompatable motherboard, somewhere in the distant future).

It'll hold the load even hot.

I never had an issue with Antec but I'm running a OCZ Powerstream 600w PSU now. I like it. It's pretty nice.

My exp with antec is based on a TruePower 430 and a smart power 350. Used an antec case with psu for a buddies build, works well too.

Aaah... thanks for the clarification. Still too rich of a PSU for my blood though

All the voltage rails are fine, and I have the PSU connected directly into a wall outlet.

My question is HOW THE HELL CAN ANTEC PUT THAT LYING PIECE OF SH1T STICKER THAT SAYS SUPPORT FOR DUEL GRAPHICS SETUP IN FRONT OF THE RETAIL BOX AND ON TOP OF IT.

God, what must I do for SLI, I've already tried Antec Truecontrol 2.0 550watt and that gives me an NVIDIA's error messege of INSUFFICIENT POWER, and the 120mm Fan died for no reason, then I tried best single rail instead of double rail, the SPARKLE FSP550-60PLG 550W and I still got the damn error messege of INSUFFICIENT POWER, at a desperate attempt I drive to my local best buy store and got the ANTEC NEO HE 500, and got back home in less than 20 minutes! Only to find it shutting off for no reason. Still dead in the water sigh...... BTW I don't have temperature problems at all, cause I put my computer next to the windows for cooling!!!!!! Some 1 please help.....

you're an idiot for saying antec sucks. just because you got a dud doesnt make them any worse than any other reputable psu maker. 1 out of every 100 made could be a dud. you may have just gotten it. same goes even with pcp&p.

actually you didn`t have to call him an idiot!
Also in all the years I have been aware of PCPC I have never heard a complaint about a "dud".........so I guess the next question would be...

Whose the idiot? hmmmm

just because u havent heard of it doesnt mean anyhting, smart one. no manufacturing process is 100% efficient, thus meaning there will never be a 100% chance of perfection. try backing up your response next time. you could be deaf; i dont care. having not ever heard of a faulty psu doesnt mean there never has been one. there's your fallacy.

didn't pcp&c have a batch with bad coils early this year even? not 100% sure, just remember reading about it at hard or oc forums.

at any rate, 90% of antec problems seem to come from the original true's, the 430's in particular. which of course was traced to bad caps.

my 3 current tpII's are like rocks and i know many people who love their antecs.

Here's an update for you:

The A8N SLI and A8N SLI Deluxe changed from rev1.01 to rev1.02 earlier this month; A8N SLI Premium changed from rev1.01 to rev1.02 in July.

They (Asus)suggests our shared customers with motherboard rev1.01 to update the drivers and BIOS, and also plug the onboard 4pin Molex connector. If the updates still don't solve the problem, the customer will need to contact ASUS RMA for replacement.

Version 1.02 boards should be ok, in house testing showed no problems with 1.02s.

two 6800 Ultras = 210 watts (at stock)

X2 processor = 110 watts (at stock)

all three overclocked adds what? 30%-40%?

So, that's 320 watts multiplied by 1.35 = around 430 watts, and that's only 3 components

cost of blowing out your PSU? priceless

\EDIT: I just used the PSU calculator and added a lot of stuff like 2 hard drives, 2 optical drives, 4 high performance case fans so on and so forth. And WITHOUT the video cards being overclocked, I get to 544 watts. Seems to me overclocking both those video cards would make you pass over 600 watts for sure. You'd hit like 625 watts although not every component will be on at the same time. And PSUs can often handle a little more than stated on the label.

Wow, 625 watts, just think about it. I might be hitting 330 watts.

Not true at all.
There is a huge difference in being able to handle more than rated for and having a stable rails....I wouldn`t want to chance it!!

The SLI Ready: Turbo-Cool® 510 Express / SLI Power Supply

LOL. This board cracks me up every day.

You disagree with the fact that the PC P&C 510W-SLI is one of the finest PC Power Supplies money can buy?

The only ones better are PC P&C products as well

Here's some various information I found using Google. I'm too tired to read anything else right now:

OK, according to that site, an overclocked 3800+ will consume 181 watts alone.

Then, here you can see two 6800 Ultra on SLI:
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2284&p=5

I don?t really believe this one:
http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Previews/G70preview/11.html

On the Andtech link, it says two 6800 Ultras will use 35% more power in SLI and on the second link I included here, it shows a 6800 GT overclocked at 130 watts idle and an incredible 233 watts at load. This doesn?t make sense to me at all. We?re talking over 450 watts for a pair in SLI. Is this insane? Just the video cards alone?

http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjE0
Here?s an entire article on the power consumption of the 6800 Ultras.

Here is your problem. Maybe using a UPS with line conditioning filters will help.

Why do you take it like he insulted your d1ck? Do you have an Antec you are desperately in love with?

Cripes, with the information I posted, there's a possibility that this guy passes even 800 watts.

Bump, I have revision 1.02 and still have this problem. I spoke with ASUS CSR and they had no idea what I was talking about. I don't want to RMA a board and receive one back with the same problems!
