Can someone tell me if the floppy drive front is suppose to be flush with the front of the case? From what it seems, my floppy drive is not flush at all. There is about a 1" gap from where the case and the floppy drive is located. I dont know if that is what its suppose to be or not. The floppy drive doesnt push out far enough to become flush with the case front. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? Also, My removable 3.5" bays seem to not be 100% secure. They vibrate a little. Any ideas?

Yes, the floppy is supposed to align with the front.. you probably need to line the drive up with another set of holes (I had the exact same problem the first time I tried). As for the bays, try shoving them back in and make sure that the metal latch is secure.

BTW, I just got this case today (the charcoal version, SX1030B), and let me tell you, people, this thing RULES. Flat-out the most conveniently-designed case I've ever used (with the minor exception that it lacks a removable mobo tray). Highly recommended!

Let me know if you have any other problems...

yeah...i just tried it w/ those "other" set of holes and it works. Too bad it looks pretty bad since its all black w/ a beige floppy drive Does yours bays shake any? If i push/pull it a little, it wobbles.

The 3.5 bays shouldnt shake since there is a lock on the metal cage. The 5.25 do move around a little on mine even though its locked (clicked) into position. Actually it doesnt really shake, but it moves out when I unplug a USB cord from the ipanel.

heh, I have an SX1040 (only difference is 400W power instead of 300W) and they didn't offer it in black.

If I did get a black case, I'd end up trying to paint over all my beige drives to get it to match the same color as the case.

I have the Beidge SX 1030, and my DVD Drive is dark blue, it really realy piss me off...

good thing isthat the covers usually covers it up.. but still, I'm gonna try to trade my dark plated dvd for a beige one...

This is the BEST case I've ever owned.. and it's even better now since I modded it=) Plexi Glass Window RULES!!!

although I have to Tilt the PCMOD window kit so that it's kinda like diagonal because of the screwless handle thinge.

How would one go about painting the drives w/out screwing them up? (just curios)

My 1030 would shake when I had the top CD slot filled and none of the others, or if the latch on one of the 3.5's wasn't completely secured. With a CD and (pick your drive option) the shaking (more like buzzing for me) is gone.

Does anyone know if this case has a big brother with 12 or 16 bays. I have been asked to update a system using 6 Seagate Cheetah drives, a CD, Floppy and a Baracutta ide drive. I love this case and would love to use it again, but I don't think everything will fit. Also, I have seen other Antec cases with a 3.5 bay on top of the power supply, would there be any harm in placing the IDE drive there in a 5.25 to 3.5 converter to free up room for those monster cheetahs?

Side note on the floppies, try locking the cube for the floppy in and then front loading it until you find a good alignment, set one screw and then remove the cube to complete drive installation.

Garak is right. Not only does the 1030 look good, it is really, really functional and solid. The four fan slots w/ two equipped don't hurt none either.
