Apologies in advance if this topic has been addressed previously, but after a search I didn't find any specific mention...
I'm in the process of building a new PC, and frankly I'll admit I didn't do my homework as thoroughly as I should have.
Namely, I picked up an Antec True Power Trio 650W instead of the Corsair HX620W.
I'm willing to give the PSU a chance (if it doesn't explode on me like some people have noted, I'll probably stick with it simply for the avoiding-the-hassle-of-an-RMA factor), but when I popped open the box I was immediately struck by a distinct difference from the unit most reviewers including JonnyGURU, BenchZowner, and the dubious results of a Google search looked at.
The cables were all sleeved.
My question, then (apologies for the long leadup), is whether anyone knows if the differences are the result of an actual second revision of the PSU or if mid-production Antec requested Sea Sonic start sleeving the cables since so many people complained about the initial shipments not having anything except the main 24 pin cable sleeved?
I suppose my rather foolish hope is that it is in fact the former and not the latter, and there might be some slight improvement in QC or build quality (JonnyGURU's hot box test failure worries me more than a little). I should know better, of course, but I still occasionally hold out vain hope that companies possess the capacity to fix their mistakes.
Thanks in advance for any light the posters here might shed on the issue.
