awesome PS. i picked up one last time they had them on sale at amazon. forgot how much it was...around 50-60 shipped free. great PS though. cant go wrong with antec. its worth the money

got mine for $50 last year and this baby is worth every cent. My system is watercooled, overclocked, and silent like a FOX!

:frown: - I thought I should mention that I've had a string of bad luck with this particular model. I purchased 4 of them for work, and 2 for my personal PCs (all from Seattle area Best Buy stores) - it turns out that three of them were bad, and causing the computers to randomly shut down.

I also have an Antec desktop ATX case (that I purchased a couple of years ago from Outpost.com), and the included power supply went belly-up in that as well.

I have purchased many other Antec products in the past, and most have been fairly reliable. But I will not buy their power supplies anymore. I have Enermax Whispers now, replacing the bad Antecs, and a Thermalright, and have had no problems with them.

I had a problem with this power supply doing odd things to my computer - it turned out that I accidentally connected some key equipment to the "fan only" connectors that provide the variable power for the cooling devices. Ever since I figured that out, the PWS has been great!

At $59.99 it was a great deal. When I ordered it, I wasn't sure if it was oem or retail. But it came as brand new, shrink wrapped retail box. The power supply is a new version with SATA connectors, and an external 4-pin connector on the back. Convenient for external devices. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

Great PS. About Directron: Your experience may vary, but I had a heckuva time returning an item that didn't work correctly to them. The guy that handles returns is obviously overwhelmed, and even though he had given me an RMA via email, when I contacted him by phone about it to ask about something he was quite abusive and was giving me a hard time about returning the item. It was only when he checked his own records to see that he had ok'd my return that he calmed down. Personally, I'm steering clear of them for that reason alone.

I had an Antec True Power 430w die on me recently after a year of use. The fans stopped spinning (never found out why) and the thing just tanked. Picked up a 480W true blue. Been good to me so far.

i have this psu and it's voltages are pretty crappy for my ic7..

found a ttgi 550W for 80 bucks! i'm gonna get me one of those!!!


but the truepower worked nicely on my abit nf7-s so.... just becareful for those with the ic7!

There's a good chance that your mobo is reading the voltages wrong - check them out with a multimeter.
