Are there any major differences between TruePower 2.0 series and NeoPower 480?

NeoPower 480 uses Advanced Cable Management System, but are there any other major differences?

Are the chassis and components same in those two?

Are there any differences in noise levels between TruePower 2.0 and NeoPower 480?

Are TruePower 2.0 even more silent than NeoPower 480?

The Neo is less effecient, 60% at low power demand increasing with higher draw. The TP2's advertise 70% min. The Neo has 35a combined on the 12v while the TP2's have a whole range of combined 12v depending on what PSU it is. They look impressive to me...

I have a 380W TruePower (original version) and it's been absolutely great. I don't see how they could make it worse with the 2.0.

Hey! Awesome stuff Antec. I'm impressed. The mini-tower case looks like it has a door (I like doors) but it doesnt - I like the "concealed" look though (Becuase you didn't make the front all flat). Great job.

Only big downside is the price... I guess it'll be up this high for a few months and then come down.

Edit:
Antec PERFORMANCE TX Metallic Gray SOHO File Server Case With SmartPower 2.0 450W, Model "TX1088AMG" -RETAIL
Cooling System: 1 rear 120mm Tricool fan with 3-speed switch
$139.00

Honest to god, I think you should include at least 2 fans if you're going to charge nearly $140 .

The thing is which would be the 2nd fan? Including the exhaust fan makes sense since you always want to get the heat out of the system. But which intakes do you include? And if you include 1, why not 2 intakes etc? Why not the side panel fan?
What about people who don't want the extra fans? They'll then feel like they're paying extra for fans they don't need or want.

Thus the 1 120mm exhaust fan since most will need that fan. If they want more they can get them at whatever price they want. If they don't want fans then they won't have to spend extra, nor feel that we 'forced' them to just get the case.

Is it quiet also when you put some load to it?

Thanks, that helps a bit.

Last question though,

You know when the black one will come to newegg? I might go and pick up one of those, or get a Sonata II - depending on the budget.

its basically inaudible. running prime i put my ear up to it and could not hear it. today is the first "hot" day up here, like 87f, and its not kicking into any higher rpm, although all my other temps are up across the board

time to bring down the ac.

Rise, you've been spending way too much time over at DFI My Neo runs hot and quiet too, but the rails are solid with no stability probs. I have my 2 120mm case fans on the fan only connectors. I wish they'd ramp up a little sooner, but, I am quiet most of the time and stability hasn't been an issue (nothing ever gets over 50C inside). So, you're liking your TP2 otherwise?

lol, yeah, i'm checking dfi street more than my email.

i like the tpII fine, the rails are awesome. the heat of the PSU doesn't bother me, i never hear the fan. this thing is rock solid.

now if i could cool this damn nf4 chip with less than 7000 rpm

nice. i was toying with a fan positioned like that today, i have a smartfan2 kicking around. btw, how do you get sppedfan to read all the fans on the mobo? maybe i don't have the most recent version, but it only lists the 3 the ITE lists. can you control that extra fan with it?

I am using Speedfan 4.23. I can only read 3 fan speeds (CPU, chipset, and PSU) and can control only 2 (the CPU and chipset). I use a resistor with the 92mm Zalman that is blowing on the chipset which slows it down to a constant 1600 rpm (inaudible). It is plugged into a psu molex so control is not possible (and doesn't need to be in my case). If you plugged your Smartfan into fan headers 4 or 5 on the mb, you may be able to control it, if it's 3 wire....

Newegg should have the TX1050B on their site soon, if not already. We got these in this week.
