Antec twelve hundred and ATX cables

I recently purchased the Antec twelve hundred, and UPS has it currently en route. I've read some people have concerns with their 24pin ATX cables being too short to route behind the MOBO. My current PSU is a Corsair 520HX.

Does anyone else have this combination? Any ideas as to if I'm going to need to purchase extensions or not. If so, I need to order them online, as I don't have any type of local computer shop which carries them.

Well, I'm using a 750TX, and I need an extension for my 8-pin CPU plug, but the 24-Pin is fine....

How much did that cost you? It's almost certain it would have been less from SVC. I recently got a set of 12", 24 and 4 pin extensions for less than $10.00 shipped - one with an 8-pin instead shouldn't be much more.

My coolermaster 450w cables were actually a little too long for my antec twelve hundred - I had to spread some of them out around the back panel to make the side fit back on. But I guess it all depends on your mobo connections and where they are located. Being able to route them behind the mobo should actually allow you to use shorter cables as they can go straight across the back instead of around the side of the mobo like on traditional cases.

Newegg had the combo pack (24pin and the 8pin) for $6.99. The shipping is the killer part. To have it arrive today, along with the case, the shipping was about $13.00.

If I don't need it, then so be it, but the worst case scenario was for me to tear apart my current case, move everything over, find out the cables weren't long enough, then have to reassemble it back into the old case because I can't find any shops locally that carry the extenders.

I want to do a decent cable management job of my new build. I bought an Antec 1200 aswell, and there's currently a Corsair 750TX rebate so I was thinking of getting one of those. If I want to do a decent job, will I need the cable extension kit so I can fit the cables around the back of the motherboard and all that?
