Antecs crappy customer service

hello..about 3 months ago I bought a SX1030 from Onvia when they had the deal on them..not even 3 weeks after I got the case, the power supply died. I emailed Antec and got an RMA number, sent the power supply back, and now 3 months later I can't get anybody there to acknoledge my existance. I have tried calling and emailing several times, all to no avail. Has anybody else dealt with them about an RMA? I'm using a power supply out of my spare system, and would like to get this stinking power supply back so I can use both of my PC's again.

I love Antec's stuff, but if this is how it is to get parts RMA'd, I won't deal with them again.


any pointers?

yeah.. its not that we don't believe Hagbards problem.. im sure everything he says is true.. and I take it seriously.. its just his constant bickering about it that drives me nuts..

I may end up getting an enermax PS after its all said and done..

Sorry to hear about that buddy. Don't bother waiting around or attempting to get them to do something about it, they'll probably just lie to you and you'll never see a replacement. Just go out and get an Enermax and forget you ever heard of Antec, or you can join me in a bitchathon.

someone should report them to the better business bureau for false advertising with their warranty bullcrap

I have dealt with their customer service department, granted not for an RMA, and found the experience absolutly delightfull. I do recognize both of your problems but even knowing the problems that you have had I would not hesitate to buy another Antec case even if it meant having to buy a new power supply. Antec definitly needs to work on their RMA department but overall I still think that they are a solid company with a solid product.

ericd: that is your loss if you deal with them. The point is I paid for something which I did not recieve. They are no better than the trolls in the For Sale forum in my book. Nothing but trolls!

I have dealt with Antec's customer service and had a delightful experience as well. Do you have the RMA number handy? I did have them forget about my replacement psu when I had one go bad. I just called them and gave them my RMA number and told them I haven't received a replacement yet. Three days later, my new PP303X arrived via UPS.

I also had them send me a hdd cage that I didn't get with a case I bought in the "For Sale/Trade". They sent me the cage within a week. Great service with me.

Like I said, call them up and ask why things haven't gotten to you yet. They should take care of it immediately. Never let a company takes its time. Harass them.

Dill - I reported them to the Attorney Generals Office of Califoria, you might want to do the same. If enough of us complain, they file a class action suit against them (at least, that's what they told me in a letter they sent in reply).

audiofight - I've been waiting over a month for the replacement power supply they said they were sending. I don't expect to ever see it. "Antec CSR" here has said he'd look into it, of course, this is the second time he's said that then never sent a reply. They've gotten themselves a million bucks of bad publicity over it when they could have done the right thing from the beginning.

johneetrash - Wise move, if you just have to have one of their cases, but I don't see anything special about them, and they don't seem to handle circulation as well as many other similarly priced cases (such as Elan Vital). People seem to be sucked in by the extra fans.

I"ve called 3 times already and left messages for 'Dennis' who has been no help so far and will not call me back.

I acutally lost the RMA number, then Dennis emailed me back with the RMA number on it with a message that said 'do you have the RMA number?'

my hard drive took a dump since then, so I don't have the RMA number. I do however still have my UPS slip with the tracking number showing they recieved it.'

I will keep calling their 1800 number (the long distance call to the RMA dept gets expensive) and bugging them.

Great cases--love my SX830---the WORST customer service I've ever dealt with---mine came with one fan adapter missing and emailed CS 10x times and never had a responce.
