We currently have a Cisco 1200 series with a AIR-ANT2506 (~6dbi) covering a mid size area outdoors. We are looking to be able to connect to a new 1300 bridge that is slightly too far for the current antenna, we were considering replacing with a AIR-ANT24120 (12db) but the 7 degree vertical plane is concerning. The 2506 is a 36 degree vertical.
The antenna is mounted on rooftop and the concern is the signal may be weak on the ground do to the low vertical plane. Is this a valid concern, I'm still working through my understanding of radiation patterns.
