<< Checkout how concerned the CDC folks are by the picture on the MSNBC link. No mask, no biohazard suit, just gloves. This isn't Ebola or small pox, folks. >>

Well, sure they won't get it. But if some terrorist sprayed a feild a few weeks ago...who knows how many were contaminated.

We are all fscked. Simple as that. I knew more would pop up, and this validates my claims.

I feel choked up...I think I'm dying....or is that my nutty suggestable brain?

We are all doomed.

If a terrorist wanted to launch a biological attack on the US they would be quite stupid to target a remote farm. Not too many people who will come into contact with it before the first victim is hospitalised and diagnosed. If this were a real attack they would instead have injected a few bumsters in a big city. No one cares about those anyway, so they can infect half the city without anyone noticing, and they won't make it to the hospital either, so by the time the first victim gets diagnosed it will be too late. Anthrax in the early stages could be treated right? Then why wouldn't they use CCFH instead, or ebola? Highly infective, always deadly, and not (easily) curable. Sure it shows itself earlier, but if you inject a few bums with that a whole city will be dead in a matter of days. There was an outbreak of CCFH at the border of Afghanistan, so you can be sure they have that at least, even if they don't have ebola.

No they wouldn't inject someone. Atleast not with anthrax. Anthrax does not spread human to human. Ebola wouldnt do much, might kill a couple hundred, but its easily qaurintined. Anthrax is would be used because inhaled its 100% fatal, injected 100% fatal, digested 80% fatal. Its also easy and cheap to make. Although to infect alot of people that would have to have the means to drop several hundred pounds of it by air.

Unless I have been misinformed, Anthrax is not contagious.

I would'nt downplay something like this. What are the odds of someone just casually happening to be contaminated by Anthrax? If I read that article correctly they said the last case was reported back in 76, I find it very odd that in 25 years all of a sudden someone just accidentally gets infected by one of the most deadly bacteria known to man.

I have nothing to base this opinion on, but I have the gut feeling that the reporter was around a home grown group of loons & got exposed to their science project or someone that has an ax to grind with the Sun & dumped some Anthrax spores into the HVAC system of the building.

It's very difficult to grow anthrax spores & not die in the process, or to release the spores & not die in the process...

ANTHRAX IS NOT CONTAGIOUS. There won't be an "outbreak" of Anthrax. Stop reading Stephen King for a moment If somebody in Florida get smallpox then its time to sh*t your pants, but Anthrax is not a contagious disease.

Two people have died of Antrhax in the US in the past 25 years. This guy on Friday was the 2nd. We now have another guy with it. This is not good. It could be coincedence but that doesn't seem all that likely.

The odds of contracting it dont bother me.

BUT, its clear the first man got it from his office. As did this new guy. They found traces in the building.

So knowing the fact that airborne Anthrax is not contagious, how does natural occuring anthrax get inside an office complex?

Its scary to me, and should be taken seriously.

I must agree with Pliable Moose on this theory. If I'm not mistaken, the Sun and National Enquirer are published by the same company. Both publications have greatly stretched the truth when reporting events over the years.

Where did you get your info? Mine is from MSNBC:

<< The inhaled form of anthrax is rare and extremely deadly. Studies of previous cases indicate that a dose of 2,500 to 55,000 anthrax spores is lethal to about half of the people who inhale them. >>

That's what I'm wondering.

The spores are contagious, not the bacteria. One infected, the spores become live bacteria inside the body, thus making cross infection very unlikely.

CNN just mentioned that the building is within a couple of miles of the flight school that the hijackers recieved some of their flight training.

Another worrysome issue is that ObL once again threatened the U.S. on the video that was released yesterday & that his threats have not been idle ones...

"The spores are contagious, not the bacteria."

OK, they let me rephrase my question.

How does natural occuring anthrax spores get inside an office complex at strong enough levels that can be picked up by an air sweep?

If this turns out to be criminal, I hope we strap the guilty party to one of our cruise missiles and send em to Afganistan.
