Think along the lines of mary being a proof-reader. She listens to what you say and tries to find out exactly what your saying and then submit it to God.

How does that not make her an idol? Am I wrong in thinking that Jesus said (paraphrasing) that no one comes to the father except through him? It seems to me that that puts Mary on the same pedestal as Jesus.

So the whole ripping of the veil at Christ's death was for nothing, since people can't pray to God or that God doesn't know what people really mean when they pray? The whole idea of Mary interceding for the body of Christ is so full of ******.

That's exactly what's going on. Jesus is supposed to be the one interceding for us, not Mary.
