But who wants to believe nowadays, I mean look at the tribes in Africa, they think they have some weird gods in existence, yeah right, we don't have african americans in USA believing teh same thing, because they are exposed to technologicaly advancement, but not every1 in Africa is.

i am a computer engineering major and very into technology. i am a geek for lack of a better word, yet i am religious (not a fanatic fundie mind you), so where do i fit in? i believe in God, but ive been exposed to plenty of new technology and a lot of physics, both classical and modern, which many people use as an excuse to disprove God.

The problem you are running into is people are trying to get you to believe what they beleive, not what the bible teaches. If you begin to study the bible on your own, you will indeed find enough reasons to not be Catholic. Don't take my word for it, get a King James bible out and start searching it and your heart.

The King James is the standard version that most churches use. The NIV has become very popular as well. What translation do you use?
