I have been insulted many times, almost always by uppity leftists who have nothing better to do than express themselves in a vile manner. There used to be a time when P&N was mostly filled with vibrant discussion, but ever since Trump won the election you have a handful of whackos that bring down the fun of political discussions with personal attacks and outlandish behavior.
Most of them I have on ignore, although I let them out of the penalty box now and then to see if they have changed. Most have not.

Man this is the stuff that I despise on these forums, it never used to be allowed. There was back and forthing but this over the top vile nature took hold and there are 6 or 7 of you that absolutely ruin it for everyone else. I visit a college football forum as well as here and it leans very heavily to the right but even in that cesspool every post isn't an attack on somebody. At the top of the forum and in the sticky it says personal flames not allowed, but that's clearly not the case.
i guess I could always go post in "Discussion Club" but I'd be talking to myself to be honest, no one goes there. Unfortunately I see that being the case for P&N in the near future as well as more and more people get sick of the rampant bullying and name calling and such that takes part in here.
Anyways, tone it down and grow up.

Why are people so riled up about them? Antifa's bad, but they're not neo-nazis. They're a disorganized rabble whose whole shtick is being anti-fascist. Yeah, their definition of fascist is flaky and they cause trouble, but AFAIK they haven't killed anyone, and the militant left has basically been dead for decades.
Compare that to neo-nazis and white supremacists, who think Jews and non-whites are subhuman and who have a long history of actual murders in the US. There's decades of white supremacist hate to feed off, and a clear history of violence by the far right that antifa can't match.
Sure Antifa needs to be denounced, but let's be real, the actual Nazis and white supremacists are worse.
Like I had said earlier everyone needs their boogeyman. The right needs Antifa so they can slap a label on and say this is the face of left wing violence, then they all get riled up and pound away at their keyboards about how outraged they are and such. Now that there's a face it makes it easy shoot down anyone you disagree with by calling them Antifa when more than likely they aren't.
The left does the same shit (plenty of it going on in this thread) by calling anyone they disagree with Nazi's/KKK when again more than likely they aren't. It's an attempt to discredit whoever you disagree with whether they are part of said group or more than likely not. Every middle eastern person is Al-Quaeda for instance.
