It's become en-vogue to drop the "neo" part off ever since Charlottesville and that's to reinforce the label, to give it more umph (because, well, Nazi's).
Small thing to split hairs over but relevant imo. It's the words Antifa and Nazi's/KKK that are important, the connotations that can now be drawn based on recent events and used to project onto anyone whom you disagree with.
Do I think they are basically good people? No probably not based on what I've seen of them. Asking whether someone is "good" boils it down kind of thin though. Both sides certainly are full of idiots who like to share that with everyone and prone to violence. I don't support either side but if they want to voice their ignorant opinions I support their right to do so.

Like I had said earlier everyone needs their boogeyman. The right needs Antifa so they can slap a label on and say this is the face of left wing violence, then they all get riled up and pound away at their keyboards about how outraged they are and such. Now that there's a face it makes it easy shoot down anyone you disagree with by calling them Antifa when more than likely they aren't.

I've always perceived neo-Nazis and the KKK as deriving its power from a dwindling and ever shrinking demographic, and that time would inevitably render them irrelevant. The obvious next question is what causes a person to radicalize? I imagine it is a similar dynamic to westernized and otherwise seemingly secular Muslims getting drawn to ISIS. Once someone radicalizes, they are no longer "good", but we can't deny how easy it is for "good" people to radicalize.
As for Antifa, its history and reason for being springs from good intentions, specifically fighting fascism. However, you cannot deny that there is an anarchist or violent marxist element that is riding the antifa wave.
My preference would be for both groups to just go away.
