Any actuaries on ATOT?

I just recently read up about being an acutary, and it sounded somewhat interesting. So are there any acutaries(potential or practicing), who have advice to give for people considering going into the field? What are the upsides and potential pitfalls.

If it's relavent, I'm currently in the middle of my EE program in college.

Nope the unofficial Vent server was cancelled but I'll probably bring one back maybe this weekend.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest for it

I'm not an actuary, but I wanted to be one 2 or 3 years ago. did not have time to do all the exams.

I am on in the evenings mostly (same username still). Which days could likely be described by a normalized random distribution.
