Any AMC employess here?

A friend of mine got me a few golden tickets... no, this isn't anything to do with Willy Wonka. They're tickets that entitle you to free shows, without any exceptions. So, if I can figure out when a movie premiere is, I can go. The problem is, when they don't show the times, how the heck do I find out when one is? I'm saving my last one for X-Men 3 (I stupidly used my other two), but I don't know how to find out when it is.

Any help is appreciated.

What? My friend works in PR and got the tickets from an AMC executive. I can't ask his manager or mine (I don't work for AMC).

No, I mean for an early screening. Am I wrong to assume that at least one AMC in a major city with 6 of them would have an early screening? I thought just about any major movie will show once before opening day.

Not generally outside NY/LA. It is likely however that the studio will permit 10:00 P.M. or midnight shows the day before.

If there was a premiere it would almost certainly be an invitation only marketing event and you would likely be denied admission.

nope, you'd be correct. around here i seen them typically done on the tuesday night of the same week as the movie opens. so, i get a 3-day jump on seeing the movie. last one i attended was for 'inside man', and i had a chance to see 'mi:3' but i was too tired to go and wanted to watch the lakers game/new l&o:svu instead.

edit: and the above post'er makes a good point. the premieres i attend are *always* invitation only. but they dont check for your ticket after you make it past the consession stand because you surrender it at the front door. so next time use your golden ticket for a crap movie you dont care about and then walk down to the premiere. and they do search you also.

No, you see, the ticket specifically says that there are no restrictions. There's absolutely no fine print on it at all, and he said that the woman that gave it to him specifically said that he can use it for whatever, including premieres. The problem is, she never said how to find out when a premiere is.

I don't think that is the case with their Gold Experience tickets, but I could be wrong since I do not work for them.

i think some people are getting confused with the term "premiere." if i'm not mistaken, it sounds as though the OP is talkin about early screening. not the premiere where the major actors/actresses make a presence and do interviews and such.
