nah, I dont think so - too soon
still working out this issue (no time) but..........
In any drive showing in advanced mode "BOOT" tab you will see the (Windows) bootmanager option. So lets say you have an SSD drive you want to add, you make the #1 first selection "bootmanager", then stuff appears on main menu page with that UEFI strap on it.
For example from the AT review of ASUS Pro VS Gigabyte P67
we see this:
Notice with bootmanager selection of first drive - everything thats bootable on front page now has that UEFI strap - which I think means not UEFI
Heres how I interpret this setup
Empty (or with Win 7) SSD HDD
USB bootable stick (with Win 7?)
USB stick
Now I bet not a single person on AT used the bootmanager option at any time
Also notice at the very bottom is the "boot override" option devices
ALL your devices are always listed
here
This is the detection area
And you can boot to these at any time (if possible) instantly by just clicking them
i am sure either the bootmanger option and/or the boot override option will fix all drive dissappear or not show issues. Its not those dirty rotten ASUS mobo, its that dirty rotten manual that says nothing about this
If anyone can, I think they should contact Ian Cutress who wrote the ASUS vs Gigabyte article and ask him how he got around to using bootmanager
I also suggest reading about the boot override option in the manual (over and over)
