mine does 2.45GHz(12.5x196MHz)@1.8v(actual)
running DDR at 98MHz(since this is dual channel, i guess that it will provide enough bandwidth while running in sync with the proc)
prime-ing now

hmm, I know one who's 1700+ is pretty close to yours (DivideBYZero)... he's somewhere at 2.4 GHz with 1.7V IIRC... and limited by RAM.

Been doing some research and I have got the following:

AMD XP ID Guide

Mine is a 2800+ marked down to 1700+. It has a Bluish red with white background colouration, meaning it's a top draw core. It's from the J area of the wafer which just below top level, or A rating.

The production date reveals an Avg. OC of 2.2Ghz on 1.6v and an Avg. 2.4Ghz on a 1.9v vcore.

I am in geek heaven.

Ok let me get this bgeh if I run my ddr in dual mode which all you have to do on an nforce board is populate 2 or more dimm slots and it goes into dual mode or 128bit. It runs my memory at half what it normally would? so lets say I was running my memory at 166Mhz FSB it would really be running each module at 83Mhz? If so that means I can run my sticks of pc2100 that I have that are an identical pair at this speed and achieve a fsb speed of 166FSB?

Err no,running in dual mode doesn't 1/2 the RAM speed ,that only happens if you select your RAM synch to -50%

Good I'm glad to hear, for a second I thought I had been missing something for over a year now about dual memory mode lol............but imagine if it was the case...........how fast you could put your timings with slower ram speeds............and by bigger chips, 1GB modules maxing out your ram..............lots of dots huh............?

Ok done imagining anyways that's good news because I was going to be upset if that was the case because I just got a 2400+. I would rather have a processor that does 166FSB then this 2400+ on the way that does 133FSB. Yes I know my 1700+ "B"bred does 200FSB but this computer I'm not OC. Yet that is! I'm buying other components right now like I'm putting a 430 Antec True in it. Getting her ready to set up a nice OC system piece by piece.

Has anyone seen the hammer boards in one of my distributors magazines it has a board they look so clean or the ones I've seen are. They seem to have smaller capacitors and no bulky electrical components all over as much as recent boards have now. Although that will change of course I'm sure.

Alright most of that was off the subject but once I get this rig setup I probably will start off with another 1700+ "B"bred baby and nuture her to a full grown beast before I go into faster end of the line socket A chips. Next up is a SLK900-U ...... OH YES almost forgot anyone know of a case that is extra thick or keeps the sound down I might throw some tornados in this rig just to see what I can pull out of it.
