I did not overclock hard since my Crucial holds me back but tomorrow I will get Kingston HyperX so I will push FSB on my EPOX 8K7A to 166 so I should get 12.5x166. This is the maximum speed I will be able to test this CPU.

sad sad sad

look at the letters after the 0310.. is it upmw xpmw or wpmw?

hehehe...

# 10 YES # 10

2.4 ghz @ 1.728 volts except this chip runs hot which i've heard from other forums...

so far better than my 2.4 ghz @ 1.79 volts

i'm hoping this one will hit 2.5 on air... and when my water setup comes.. hopefully it'll hit 2.7 or even 2.8

I believe it was WPMW. This CPU is already installed I don't want to remove the AX-7 because I have to remove one case fan, than Power Supply and then heatsink with cooling fan (don't want to remove cooling fan from heatsink even though it make installation easier). OK. I might do it though. I will write whole info.

well check temps.. if it's running a lot hotter than your other processor it's prolly a "w"

w's seem to run really HOT

Retail AMD CPU at newegg reads as follows AXDA1700DLT3C 9390367250736 JIUHB 0310 WPMW. After 20 minutes Prime95 at 1.66GHz reached 39.9C at 25.4C mobo and 33C Power Supply. I will post results tomorrow at 12.5x166MHz. Overall I am pleased. Wished my mobo would support higher multipliers.

you have a tbred b 1700+... 12.5x is the highest mult..

you are being limited by your ram now then...

but don't worry... you'll prolly won't get anywhere higher than 2.4 to 2.5 ghz anyway

or less... who knows...

btw...

took out my new 0310wpmw... runs REALLY hot... but it boots up at 2.5ghz i'll see how much water can cool it down... i'm sure it'll work... and it was only at 1.8X volts...

I am really confused about the memory thing with the Nforce2 chipset.....is the LL the right memory to get if I'm oc'ing (corsair xms)....I saw alot of people posting other places with problems or is that problem solved with the new boards.......anyone have a memory suggestion for me.....I'm looking for some good pc2700 or pc3200 memory for oc'ing with NF7-S mobo...either 512mb or (2) 256mb....please....help...

I'm using Infineon 2x256 MB PC2700 CL2.5 running at CL2.5 400 MHz... works pretty fine (one error, but no problems due to that). TwinMos seems to be good and cheap too... I heard

I just got mine from newegg.com, and it smokes 99% of the PC's out there.

Back to mine retail XP 1700+. It could not cut 12.5x166 at neither 1.5 nor 1.6. However, it works at 1.7V. I don't think that mobo can handle 170MHz FSB. I guess I will push it to 168MHz or so times 12.5 = 2.1GHz - not bad. My CPU runs at 12.5x166 = 2075MHz at 48C after few minutes of prime95 (actual core temp from diode). I don't expect temp to rise more than 50C though because I have decent air cooling. Is it any good - benchmark looked quite nice.

I just got my OEM 1700+ from newegg and it is asslike. AIRGA0222MPMW. Epox 8K3A - 10x166, 1.65V, 55C diode. Completely inferior to my AGOIA (10.5x166, 1.75V, 42C diode).

Ok

I finally got mine 0310 WPMW running @ 2.19 GHz 175 FSB and 1.550 V. Temps are hovering at around 40C on load with an SK-7. I think the motherboard is holding me back. MSI KT4 Ultra... there is no pci/agp lock only dividers... If I bump my FSB up higher the harddrive craps out.

Wow! ,amazing overclock for such low voltage!

You should of bought a Tbred 'B' core version ,a much better overclocker

I hit the wall at 2.05 gig, 1.8 volts on mine. does not "feel" like more juice will yield much. 178 x 11.5
Abit overvolts it some, 1.82 or so. Temps are now at 45C full load, 30C ambient.

wow, looks like these chips are the magic 2.5GHz chips we were looking for.......too bad they're gonna be phased out

Wow these chips overclock well, but do they ever get hot. Right now i'm running 2.2gig @1.63volts, with a load temp of 52C using a Vantec TMD. My old 1700+ would peak at 1.9gig @1.79volts, with a load temp of 47C. Not really interested to see how much further this thing will go due to the heat.

I'm sure it would have run a little cooler, but now that i've got my vdd mod done and sitting at 1.76volts to allow me 200MHz+ stable, the heat on that northbridge is no doubt warming the CPU/case a little more.

AXDA1700DLTC
JUIHB 0310XPMW

I'll have to run some prime to really test it, but I don't think i'll leave the case cover on.

Someone please clarify for me again, which mobos/chipsets do the Tbred B's come unlocked? I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere here before, but it's getting kinda hard to find in this 19 page thread.

Also, if it doesn't come unlocked on the KT266A mobos, do you unlock it the same way as with the Pally's?

I beleive un-locked on all nForce2 boards, except those with-out any overclocking features available in bios. And the bridge connecting is like the Pally's I think, but you have to first fill the lazer cut before bridging.
