week 10 of year 2003 seem to be the best, but my week 12 is raping it up!

200x11.5 Is completely stable (in windows, no testing done yet) at 1.75 VCore (1.8 in windows)

Well I got 2 of these CPUs for my Tyan Thunder K7 Mobo that has been sitting around for almost a year. Did the XP-MP mod and the CPUs ran fine. Then tested the CPUs on an other mobo at 2400 speeds using stock voltage and it ran fine so I did the L3 bridge cutting to hard wire them as 2400s. The system is now running great. Not to bad for a $50 CPU. Thanks everyone for your input I got the best bang for the buck from these 2 cpus

Okay...so maybe it wasn't that stable, but it was worth a try at 1.8V going to the CPU. And I really don't want to give it more than +.2v because that would be asking for a new CPU...

i'm gonna sell of my 0310wpmw that can do 2.4 ghz @ 1.8 volts o rmy 0310upmw that can do 2.42 ghz @ 1.875 volts

trade off between these two is that hte one that runs at the lower voltage actual runs the same tep as the one at 1.875 volts... weird..

you won't need to cut bridges unless you have crappy ram. most people can't benefit from a mult higher than 12.5 x anyway

these chips aren't hitting above 2.6 anyway so that's.... 12.5 x 208 which most pc3200 ram can handle....

but if you want to cut bridges.... do a search in this forum.. i think there are articles on bridge cutting to access higher mults... good luck!

one more note: hitting 2.6 isn't realistic.. most people top out around 2.4 ghz at the most... but most people are ranging 2.3 to 2.4 with these...

i have two right now: one capable of 2.42 ghz stable at 1.875volts and another 2.4 ghz stable at 1.8 volts.... both run same temps .. weird huh?

Well first of all I'd be more concerned with the chipset hitting 208 than the memory I have my A7N8X up to 200 but that was with cooling mods. Secondly, I was mostly interested in modding the chip to change default voltage up from 1.5. In the past I have had problems with Athlons and cold-boot failures when the default voltage is too low and overclocking too high. Is that not a problem with these chips?

update: had to drop speed to 2.33GHz(14 x 166) in exchange for 0.1v(actual 1.75v) and 7C difference. temps were hitiing the 60 mark. since i was too lazy to clean the heatsink every 2 weeks, i had to drop the speed.

i feel you man, i feel you!

temps were getting up to 60 on water for me

so i dropped voltage down to 1.875 and temps are down to 53 to 54...

temps dropped outside so my temps are actually about 49 right now!!!

i agree. my temps have been going higher and higher thanks to the dust and my cat's fur.........the only way i could maintain such low temperatures is to put a duct in my computer and i did it. can't find any other alternative to drop the temps even more so i had to drop it

Why don't you just lock the CAS at 2.5? or won't it run at that at high FSB?

I'm testing my OC and something seems strange. I can run Prime95 for hours on end (over 12) and it doesn't crash. But, when I put 3DMark2002SE into looping benchmark mode, it crashes to the desktop in less than 30 minutes. (BTW: The 3DMark score is 11,495.)

Any ideas?

I've got a 8RDA+ with a 1700+ 0251 JUICB running at 1,850 MHz (10*185) 1.675V and PC2700 at 185 MHz 2.8V with relaxed timings. PNY AGP Ti4200 128MB at stock voltage and freq.

i had the same problem too. Prime95 passed 24 hours but DiVX failed in 5 mins. so imo we shouldn't put our trust in 1 thing completely

the one fall back of the w's is tha tthey run REALLY hot...

you cansee that bgeh had to lower his due to heat issues...

i'd just get an 'x' and test it out... let us know....

i was planning on getting an 'x' and testing it out as well... but before i do i wanted to see if there were any heat issues....
