Any chance of bottlenecking? 980ti + 2600k

Planning to get a gtx 980ti and wanted to cross check if I'm getting bottlenecked anywhere. My specs :
I7 2600k overclocked to 4.3ghz
8gb ddr3 ram
EA-650 antec earthwatts psu.
60hz 1080p monitor.

My main issue of concern is the psu. Do let me know if anyone can help.

I use a lot of Antecs PSU's around here, but have never went near an earthwatts.

Have been always leery of the name even I guess, got me.

I got this when I got my 680 and has not caused a single problem as of now.
Also, the recommended psu for the 980ti is 600watts minimum. But I'm not really sure if this psu is good enough to handle the card.

You can go 4.5 with 2600k on auto settings, I am running my so. I bought a 980 ti last weekend, no bottleneck, only few beers
As long you have it (2600k) OC there isn't a issue.

Psu should be OK if you don't have 10 USB 10 fans 10 hdd

Relax and enjoy it.


Psu is a 93% platinum so it should be ok

You won't bottleneck at all. You have a crap load of power for 60hz 1080p gaming.

I have a 2600k with a 980ti and game at 2560x1600 without any bottlenecks. Oc your 2600k more. Should be able to run 4.6 easily by just upping the multiplier and everything else on auto.

I'd highly recommend a higher resolution screen also. You're basically commuting with a track car at this point. Put that power to use.

I totally understand what you mean. I had my eyes on the Acer 144mhz 1440p ips screen (forgot the model number). But sadly it isn't available yet here in Mumbai India. I donno how I was able to get my hands on the 980ti in the first place. I'll surely be on the lookout for a new screen cos I could feel the overkill in Witcher 3 with my 1080p monitor. Thanks.

An i5-2600k overclocked shouldn't have any real issues keeping up with a GTX 980ti.
