Each point is worth 1 cent. (This is based on the value of gift certificates you can get with your points.) So AmEx Blue is your basic, run-of-the-mill 1% rewards card.

If you only need the 0% intro APR on purchases for 6 months, then you should definitely consider the AmEx Blue *Cash* card, which can be much more than a 1% cash back card depending on your spending profile (it's tiered). You can use the rewards calculator mentioned in my profile to figure out which rewards card will pay you the most for your normal spending.
