Its really different. I don't know if I would classify it as EDM. It really does sound like a retro album 70s/80s disco/funk album.

I was going to start my own thread, but this seems appropriate here. I'm sure some industry executive or RIAA talking head can justify this somehow; but seriously WTF?!

Just purchased this CD and am enjoying it quite a bit.
I have to admit I was a little bit underwhelmed on the first listening. I thought the songs were okay, maybe a little weird, but none of them stood out as something as ground breaking as Around the World or Da Funk. It just didnt live up the hype surrounding this release. The album wasn't Daft Punk enough for me, and I turned into one of the haters.
It took a few days and a few play-through for everything to click in. The songs flow in and out perfectly. It's emotional, it's groovy, it's like a musical journey you experience. There isnt as a single track that I dislike on the whole album, they all fit into place. Fucking love it.
