Any DX10 games released with Vista??

Weren't there supposed to be a game or two that needed Vista to run that was to be released today?? I thought I remember reading that somewhere.

q2 for the first of the DX9 games with DX10 *features* ... but unless it is MS, it won't be *Vista Only*

i think there is one game that gets a DX10 patch in late March ... but it will also run on XP

Yeah, Halo 2 will be Vista-only but I don't remember the ETA on that one.

I believe apoppin is talking about the Company of Heroes patch?

only MS games is taking a chance with *vista only* for quite awhile.

i kinda doubt it since it has been in development for so long ... i think they are just trying to make the DX9 market while is still dominating.

i think any DX9 game can have DX10 features added in ... why not?

Well if they are adding it with patches with some games thats already released you would think so. It would be cool to see some DX10 features added to Oblivion,HL2,ect,ect. Probably won't happen though. Would make buying a DX10 card more worth it.

the Game Devs are waiting for a larger DX10 HW base to make more DX10 features for and the fans are waiting for games with DX10 to justify buying DX10 HW

Good thing NVIDIA released DX10 hardware last year so that the game developers could get a head start.

good thing MS released the Beta Kits long before that .... and the emulators

and you're right, the Devs were complaining about nvidia's buggy alpha HW for a long time

nvidia can't even get a certified DX10 8800 driver for Vista .... even now ... LONG after it was released as "vista ready"

do you think they really got a *head start* ?
... probably using beta r600 and real DX10 drivers

You must be new to computers. Vista driver does not = DirectX 10. You really should do some research.

You must be new to computers. Vista driver does not = DirectX 10. You really should do some research.

at least they have a real driver for Vista unlike the 8800.

and as i said before, you are not a privileged dev to have the DX10/r600 driver

We patiently wait for pure d3d9 games like UT2K7 and Crysis and you want a d3d10 title? :shocked:

I don't think we will see something,except patches with some d3d10 content somewhere in the end of Q1/2k7.. Games like CoH,UT2K7,Crysis and some more will feature patches like these.. But that's all for the time being..

Crysis will have D3D10 features built in, and so will UT3, its been stated in Mark Rein's last interview.
