Any experience with the Nostromo N52 Speedpad?

I have been eyeing one (big World of Warcraft player... I know I know) and I hear how it's a little tricky to set up and get used to but once you do your 0wnage rating goes up 383%. Is there any truth to this?

Yes, they are a bit difficult to set up (it took me awhile to figger out loadouts vs. profiles), and I've got it setup for BF2 and R6:V. I originally had the BF2 Z-Board, and switched to the SpeedPad since I wanted the controller to carryover to other games.

The entire layout is very functional. The orange thumb button is a bit hard to press, and the mousewheel is awkwardly placed. But EVERYTHING is within one hand's reach - so your pwnage rating should got up to a least 382% (383 is a bit of a stretch).

I seriously don't know about your stated statistics (I'm somewhere between and 'wtf'), but my wife has one, and she doesn't like it much due to the lag in the controller. I'm not sure if that is from the fact that she was using it through a hub or what, but it was there regardless. Also, there is no program detection, so to use it with a program or game, it has to be started through the devices software. That would drive me insane.

I'll keep my G15 with it's G keys...

I am also a big WoW player and I use a ZBoard Fang Pad. I love the layout of the buttons and the default wow configuration that comes with the software is very good as well. Also very easy to reconfigure if you want.

I use one for UT2k4 primarily, and I love it. It fits a ton of functions into a compact space. You can almost quadruple the amount of buttons shown by using shift keys. Hit a shift key and the whole keyboard can be remapped with different functions. you have standard, red shift, green shift, and blue shift.
