any fellas on here got a wife / girlfriend who's a Pogo addict?

My GF is a pretty hardcore gamer, which I actually love about her. But, she is an absoluty Pogo fiend. Every Wed the offer new Badges where you get one week to win them. The challenges vary, but somehow I get involved in "assisting" her by doing anything from helping her win 20 Domino games to playing checkers until she gets some stupid goal. There are like millions of people on Pogo all the time, a lot seem as bad off as her. I'm wondering how their husbands/boyfriends deal with it. It can be nerve racking at times. especially when the challege is some really hard one that takes her 15 hours to finish.

while Pogo is being played = I'm assed out

I'm looking to start a support group for men involved with a Pogo Addict. She's tried to get me to like it, but the games are repetitive and bleeeeh!

what's your definition of addict? for instance in the past umm 7 days my girl spent maybe only 4 hours on pogo, some weeks she'll be on it 2-3 hours a night. BUT... I made the stupid mistake of getting her Titan Quest, which she played at least 30 hours in 3 days

Pogo addiction can be a good thing. We have this one woman at work who happens to be a stupid bitch that no one can stand. Without her playing pogo all of the time, I don't know what we would do!

Wow, I'm amazed that Pogo.com is still in business. I can still remember when they were called TEN, and you could play Duke Nukem 3D on their site. Ah, those were the days.

Ever watched someone play World of Warcraft? There's no point, they just do it to have better stats and a nicer looking sword than anyone else. Same thing here, I suspect.

Ever watched someone play World of Warcraft? There's no point, they just do it to have better stats and a nicer looking sword than anyone else. Same thing here, I suspect.

I guess I'm guilty of the same thing with some games.

But, my mom for example, does this all day long, and she takes these "badges" so seriously. It's kind of funny.

Thankfully, my gf is into console games mostly and not pogo.

the badges are for uhhh show off? You can win prizes and even money on Pogo, but I don't think the badges are worth anything, my GF has hundreds she's won over the 2-3 years she's been on there. They allow you to buy virtual clothing for your avartar. It's an addiction you can't fathom unless you are doing it, because I watch her and watch her play and I don't see how she can find it fun to have to win 100 checker games in 7 days.
