Some of us have food traumas because of what happened in the past and the body rejects it. Thankfully I don't have any but,
My friend can't stand spaghetti because as a kid, her uncle forced her to finish this big pile while saying, "Don't be a kid." She had to cry her way into finishing it. Now she absolutely cannot stand pasta in general and marinara sauce.
My other friend can't stand vinegar. One time he got really drunk in HS and he woke up at night dying for a glass of water. He waded into the kitchen in the dark and grabbed the mug and downed what he thought was water. For whatever reason, it was vinegar his mom had put in from preparing a dish. Imagine big gulps of vinegar down your throat when you're dying for hydration. He immediately puked it all and couldn't get the strong taste out for days.
Now he can't stand any form of vinegar or that vinegary sour taste.
