Any food traumas you have?

Got a TERRIBLE case of food poisoning from some bad sushi back in March. Looking at and/or smelling sushi now makes me want to puke.

Frito Lays Munchines mix. I drank a half of a handle. All I saw coming up was the mix of rold gold pretzel, chex, cheetos, and sunchips.

meatball sandwiches. got food poisoning from one while on vacation when I was 5-7 years old or something at a local joint. puked all day, felt like shit.

don't really like them now (though I have had one from time to time)

Hmmmm... this is similar to an episode I had with pre-mixed screwdrivers that I was chugging out of the bottle at a party for no good reason.

But... I have no problems with orange juice, just orange juice and vodka.

I just have problems with vodka. It's really a shame, I know, but the smell and taste makes me want to vomit. I'll drink literally anything else (including straight gin, which most people seem to hate with a passion).

Acorn squash. I threw up long strings of squash fibers for like two days. Bad times.

Brown Rice. Had to eat it once as a kid. Puked it up on my plate. Mom got a new plate and a second serving made me eat it. Puked that up too. This went on 4 times till I managed to hold it down long enough to satisfy the parents. Won't ever do brown rice again. Also the smell of pears makes my stomach do backflips.

One time when I was sick at work someone burnt some popcorn in the microwave that was right by my work bench and I had to smell it all day, for like 5 years I couldn't eat popcorn.

I never liked Jack Daniels, but that didn't stop me from drinking it to the point of throwing it up. Now, I can't even stomach the smell.

None personally. My uncle pigged out on cheesecake once when he was in the Navy and hasn't been able to eat it since.

I had a mild tomato allergy as a kid and my face would always chap up when my parents made spaghetti. To this day, I cannot eat tomatos, to the point where I'd pick the tomato chunks out of chunky pasta sauce. I'm slowly working it out, though. I can, at least, eat salsa without picking out the tomato chunks.

And cilantro. The smell makes me gag. Don't know why.

I get serious indigestion from tomatoes, but I love them.

I very much dislike microwaved chicken and other meat products. I sense the smell within my mouth, and once that comes, I will refuse to swallow the meat and anything that it has touched.
