I've decided to go ahead and spring on the 8800 GTS (640MB). My only question is if any price cuts are expected within the next month? With the new cards coming out.

I'm building my system right now, from scratch. So there's no upgrading going on here. The reason for my asking about price cuts is I bought some RAM and then all RAM prices dropped $30-$40 a week later. I'd like to not get burned that bad again. Also, for what it's worth, my monitor resolution is 1680 X 1050.

I'm willing to pay the price of the 640MB if there's a chance I'll be dissapointed with the 320. What I'm looking for is it to be able to play all of today's games flawlessly. Now if that means I need a GTX, that can't happen. Is the performance increase of the 640 worth the extra money. Also, which manufacturer would you guys suggest? I've seen a lot of people go with EVGA.

Yep, EVGA is the shizzle dizzle, my nizzle! Its got the Step-Up, in case a better card launches within 90 days, which I'm pretty sure will happen.

The MSI 640MB for $399 was just added today I believe. Surprisingly cheap. I'm having trouble about my planned $499 eVGA 640MB Superclocked. I'm willing to pay a premium for the step-up option incase 8900 comes out in 90 days but $100 is a lot.
Are MSI cards good?
