Any good Casino movies?

I'm not talking about boring dramas, I'm talking about a fast paced action movie, not casino heist but dealing with gambling skills.

I remember seeing a HK movie where a kid who's family was ruined by a gangster, he later learned some secret gambling technique and seeks revenge at the gangster's casino by winning big.

Is there any movies like that on Netflix?

Err, the only casino/gambling movies that I can think of are :

Casino (heh)
Rounders
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels

Actually, there's some movie that just came out last week that was okay. It has Gabriel Byrne, Peter Townsend (otherwise known as the original Aragorn), Sylvester Stallone, and some others. I just can't remember the name for some reason. imdb is your friend!

I'm sure others will come to me and I'll add them when I remember.

The HK movies you're talking about are the "Gambler" series of movies with Chow Yun Fat...they're hilarious. I don't know where you're at, but in L.A. you can find them for rent at mom & pop video stores in Chinese communities here.

Okay, I looked some more, and they're called "God of Gambling," "God of Gambling Returns," etc. etc.
They're available on DVD (I don't know what region though)...

I think the English name is "God of Gamblers", and "God of Gamblers Returns"

Heh, all I saw were the Kenny Rogers movies and the old James Caan 'The Gambler' one.

Ocean's 11 wasnt really a gambling movie, but it was pretty funny and had lots of Casinos. I would check that one out and Rounders like others have mentioned.

Shade was surprisingly good. Bought it on a whim because of the quality talent involved in the movie. The card tricks are spectacular...at first I thought they were using CG, then saw in the extras that its all real, and the actors did their own tricks.

Also, others mentioned some good ones, like Rounders, The Cooler, and the God of Gamblers series. Lock, Stock wasn't necessarily a gambling movie, but there is a really cool poker moment.

And to suggest something slightly different, check out Intacto. Its more about the mysticism surrounding luck than mechanics, but its an excellent movie.
