Any good story telling games?

Hello people, so I'm close to finishing up the mgs series, and boy oh boy do these games have good story trekking. Are there any other games that have great story telling?

I understand, which is why I'm asking if there's some interesting story lines in games other than mgs.

I have played the god of war trilogy. You are correct when you say the story is great. I see you have a good taste in games, I'll try the others.Thank you sir

I'm not saying I understand it fully, but the plot twists and how each game effects the other makes the story really interesting. Mgs3's story was pretty straight forward compared to say, mgs2. Mgs2 was probably the most confusing in my opinion. I was questioning my life after beating that game lol.

If you're looking for a game that has similar Gameplay vs. Storytime ratio as the MGS series, I would recommend "Netflix," "Hulu" or "Amazon Prime Video," which can be played on Xbox 360/Xbox One/PS3/PS4/PC.

Heavy Rain looks interesting as well, though I haven't played or watched videos. Their previous game (Fahrenheit) was interesting though it fell flat on it's face 2/3 the way through. Heavy Rain seemed to have been reviewed better though.

The last of us us by far. This is coming from someone never enjoys corny video game stories. The game should be a movie to put it another way.

Lol. Metal Gear is what happens when you throw all the worst action-anime tropes into a trash compactor just to see what comes out.

If you like stealth games with a semi decent story, Assassin's Creed II might be worth a shot.

So it seems that the last of us, gow series, and uncharted series are the best story telling games according to the number of you who suggested them. Interesting how they're all playstation only.... Thanks guys for your suggestions!

The first MGS's story you could actually follow which is why it's still the best. Part 2 is where it got all crazy.

I got it on sale on Steam - looked interesting and different than my typical FPS/racing library. Absolutely loved the story, and I would have no problems paying the full price ($15 on Steam). Enjoy!

The Telltale games (The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us, etc) all have phenomenal stories.

I never had any problems following the story in MGS at all. You just have to pay attention and listen to ALL the codec messages.

Sorry to pile on, but The Last of Us is the best story I've enjoyed via video game ever. And it's not really close either. If you get a chance, the Remastered version at 60 fps is a real treat.
