Any good way to transfer domain names to another company for cheap?

To renew at Godaddy is going to cost around $18 for 2 years. My name is already expired with them and waiting for renewal. Has anyone caught any good deals for transfers?

You can't transfer your domain if it is expired. You will have to rebuy for a year and transfer it before it expires.
