Asus, ASRock, MSI, Gigabyte and EVGA will have Z87 chipset ITX boards. Nobody seems to be reporting on lesser chipsets, so we may have to just wait until they are available at retail, such as the ASRock B85 and H87 chipset ITX boards available at Newegg today.

Anybody have a release date for the ASUS Z87-ITX? That's the only thing holding up a new haswell build for me.

MiniITX boards are mostly 3-4 weeks later for some reason in shops. Even tho its becoming a large focus point for mobo makers and prices are going down, for the else relatively expensive MiniITX boards.

Most (manufactor) websites dont even contain 8 series boards yet. Even tho they sell them.

I have a couple questions...

I was thinking of getting the corsair 350D case but I am not sure now.

Is there any difference other than size with the new MiniTTX boards? Like less features?

Are they more expensive than regular size STX boards?

I am wondering if I should just go with the corsair 550D case instead and avoid less trouble and expense?

Price depends on the exact board. But the price of MiniITX is going down with the increased volume.

The only limits you got with MiniITX is 1 PCIe x16 and 2 DIMM slots.

I have just started to look at some z87 boards and now on the manufacture's websites they are starting to list them where as yesterday they did not.

At least this way you can look at them even if they are not showing up on newegg and such sites

You may have to go to global site vs usa/canada to see the listings

ASRock boards (B85, H87, Z87) are already available at Newegg and some other retailers (someone mentioned purchasing Z87 at Micro Center).

I really want to build another mitx system but my main rig needs and overhaul first. My i7 860 is starting to feel like an old man, I had to kill my OC' because the mobo is getting that aged feeling where things start not working as well.

edit: Someone should make a poll about what form factor they are building their haswell rigs with. (don't say me, I'm not a thread starter sort of guy)

If the price is right for this little monster, this will blow away the competition. My rough estimate for this should be around 300 USD (hopefully). But in my side of the world, I will expect this to be somewhere around 350 to 380 USD.

Its been said that it will under $300 USD. A couple websites said it will be around 200 pounds in the UK(~$306USD). So I am betting it will be around $250-275 USD in the US ~$300 in Europe.

As others have said only Asrock is available. The Asus Z87I-Deluxe is allegedly shipping and should hit retail channels soon. No idea on the rest, but the three best boards are the Impact, the Asrock Z87E-itx, and the Asus Z87I-Deluxe

The Impact isn't going to be shipping until mid July. Hopefully M.2/NGFF drives start appearing around the same time.

Looking for an OC mITX motherboard for 4670K. Best I could found so far was ASRock Z87E-ITX, but I doubt if it good enough for overclocking. Any suggestions?

Asrock(and Asus) have been the leaders in mITX development, but most mitx Z77 boards OC'ed the same(except the POS EVGA stinger). Prior to the announcement of the Impact the Z87E-ITX was the best Z87 itx board. It'll be best bang for buck even when the Impact is launched.

The Impact is said to overclock like thier bigger counterparts, however that might not give it any advantage over other mitx boards since Haswell doesn't OC that well. Its only OC'ing to 4.3-4.7Ghz depending on the chip lotto. All the mitx boards were capable of oc'ing IVY to 4.5.
