Any HDMI switches that are compatible with Logitech universal remotes?

I've got a Hitachi P50H401 50" plasma, and two of the three HDMI ports took a crap.

I'd still like to be able to plug in my DVD player, laptop, and TiVo via HDMI, so an external switch seems to be the answer.

Can anyone recommend an HDMI switch with at least 3 inputs that is compatible with Logitech programmable remotes?

I don't know which harmony remote you have, but I use the 890 and when I look under Audio/Video Switch->Monoprice and type in HDX-301, it registers the above switch. The example model number is HDX-501 (same switch, but 5 inputs), so you shouldn't have any problems.

Any IR-remote-controlled HDMI switch should work with any Harmony IR remote. It's extremely likely that it will already be in the database. Even if it's not, the Harmony remote can learn the commands from the remote that comes with the switch.

So, if you want to be absolutely certain that it will work, just make sure that it's IR and it comes with a remote.

Edit: Also, you can look in the Harmony database for the switch before buying it.

I have that monoprice switcher and use a Harmony Remote 880 (had the 670 before). Both worked just fine. I gave up using the switch however, too many handshake problems. Finally gave in a bought a receiver with 6 HDMI in. Done.

I picked up the 4x1 monoprice HDMI switch. very impressed! thanks for the advice!

now looking for ~1ft HDMI cables to clean everything up. Why on earth would I want a 1.5ft HDMI cable with ferrites? loaded question

Just a word on 1ft HDMI cables. I've heard that they're extremely stiff and difficult to bend. If you just have a straight shot, then they might be a good choice. Otherwise, it might be better to go with a longer cable that will have more give.

i've used my harmony remote with monoprices HDMI switches and have had no issues at all.
