I just completed a 1:35 scale Bradley fighting vehicle last week, I haven't made a model since I was a kid, when I didn't have the patience or the wherewithal to do it properly, I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out.

Bradley 1

Bradley 2

Bradley 3

Bradley 4

Anyone else build models?

Yep, I was about to make the same comment. Funny how much "wear" and "weathering" can really add to models.

Very nice!

My brother and I used to put models together when we were lots younger. It's probably been 20+ years since I've done one.

Yeah the only store in my city is really far North, and he's moved around quite a bit. Dying hobby I think, at least in Toronto

I tried to get back into model rockets but its impossible for me to find any wide open areas.
And I dont love them so much that I'll drive 100 miles into the wilderness.

So my hobby is upgrading my computer, once a year.

If you have a hobby lobby, Michaels or AC Moore in your area they have this stuff. I haven't done any of these since I was a kid.

Good work OP.

You should set it up in a battle damaged city diorama.

Yea there isn't much point to that type, you'll be done it in half an hour with no detail. I managed to find a 1:24 F22 Raptor which is absurdly huge and a 1:36 Typhoon so those are next on the agenda.

I build models as well. Helps me to relax
Mostly figures

I usually buy models through the local hobby shop. His distributor also owns/runs an online retail
I usually use it for browsing
Here

Edit: click the button at the top of the page to get in. I usually use the search function to look, it's easier to browse that way

Nice but you need to weather the paint more. It looks too clean. Armored vehicles shouldn't look like they came out of the car wash. Add more browns and earthy colors to the vehicle to make it look real. i.e. weather the tracks and the skirts, and the front and sides of the vehicle.

<-- Used to build hundreds of military models when I was young.

Nice work. Like someone else mentioned do a little more "weathering" to the paint and it'll be perfect.

I build a few every now and then. Cars are easy to build but extremely hard to paint, well atleast to me. I can never get a mirror like paint finish on them. Planes on the other hand are a bit more tricky to build but painting isn't as hard (flat finish). My recent builds includes an apache helo, a 1:144 tomcat for my work desk, and another 1:48 tomcat that's currently on the back burner at the moment. It's half way done but not sure when I'll put it back out to finish it.

Nice... but why'd you choose forest-camo over desert camo? I admire the fact that the one you chose was significantly harder to do (guess spraying everything tan isn't hard). Love the wear marks.

I use to build models, mainly WWII tanks and Gundam mobile suits. We use to have an intact, painted Tiger, Panther, Cromwell, Sherman and some APC, but some dumbass stored them poorly (wasn't me, but I didn't intervene, so that's not good), and they are now in pieces.

By the way, which brand is it? I think it was Tamaya (sp?) that had the most variety and best kits.
