Any ideas how to stop people from stealing my apartment parking spot?

So sick of damn people stealing my apartment spot.

I'm leaving handwritten signs and I've complained to management. Keeps happening. Now what?

Apparently it's against the law for tow companies to just come take them away... even if management calls. Sucks.

Why is it against the law? Also, post a sign and if it's ignored, just let the air out of their tires.

Edit: Hell, one tire even, so as to not cost them financially, but to inconvenience them.

is it "your" spot by designation of the apartment complex? if so, complain to them non-stop.

if it's "your" spot because you just always park there... suck it up and park somewhere else.

I parked behind some dingbat in my spot and left it there for three hours. I came back and they were sitting in the car waiting for me. Started to give me shit about parking behind them and I simply smiled and said "don't park in my spot next time".

But they can exact revenge to whatever car parks there afterwards.

EDIT: Of course the way around that is to smash a couple other windshields in the parking lot near your parking spot. :laugh:

Throw eggs at their car. Once they bake on in the sun they are damn near impossible to clean off. I hear it can cause paint damage as well...

We have predatory towing in my townhouse complex. The fuckers are like ninjas... you could park for 2 minutes to run something inside and you come out and your car is gone.

There was also a thread about a guy who had a boot put on his car when it was parked outside his house, so he used car dollies to roll the car into his garage and called the boot company to let them know they could come and take their boot back if they wanted it.

$130 for 4 car dollies

Use these to move the car yourself. Roll it sideways into a spot where the guy can't drive the car out. Sell him the car dollies for $300.
