cat cora is hawt, i with the chairman wasnt a paid actor who acted like a retarded kid, i wish the ingredients were a little more exotic.

overall i like the japanese one better. the american one is ok when there is a good ingredient, but i cant recall ever watching one episode from beginning to end.

Perhaps he had stupid expressions, but the new chairman is worse in all his presentation. The flips, hand gestures are all overdone. I mean come on: "FRESH BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAANNNS!!!!" Please.

The japanese have had this sort of presentation down for a while. They just have a way of making it more dramatic without resorting to cheesy effects.

For both shows I like the actual cooking and the interesting ingredients they use. You can learn alot if you pay attention.

However I have the same distaste for the ridiculous premise of a kitchen stadium chairman. The chairman of the first show looks like a Japanese Liberace and the American version is just a bad copy. To me they're equally unnecessary.
