"Remember" (记住) corresponds with the English forget . There is no "hidden emotions" of negligence, inability, lack of duty etc. More strictly technical.

Chinese "forget"(Wàng)(忘) is a matter of the "heart" and actually has heart(心) as a radical. You forgot, and and there is a subtle connotation you fucked up somehow(negligence, lack of regard) or are fucked up(i.e dementia)

Oh, and Asian girls...The real focus in winning an Chinese woman and her family to be rich but not a nonsense spender. Because you wasting a dollar is MORTAL SIN and she will train your kids correspondingly(and try to train you too).
