i don't know if i'd call pantera old school metal. when i think of old school metal, i think of 80's metal in general and pantera didn't hit full stride with CFH until 1990.

i don't know if i'd call pantera old school metal. when i think of old school metal, i think of 80's metal in general and pantera didn't hit full stride with CFH until 1990.

Well, I just meant that style of metal in general. The other bands I listed are new bands that continue on with that general genere. Not the un-palm muted, slow muddy junk like Korn and Limp Bizkit, et al.

Also... Pantera is a very 80s metal band. Metallica didn't realease their most popular album until 1992, but their old stuff still considered 80s.. obviously.

Metal Magic came out in '83
Projects in the Jungle - '84
I am the Night - '85
Power Metal - '88
and of course Cowboys from Hell in '90.

Granted, I don't know many songs off those older albums, but I am sure that true Pantera fans do.
